Yes, you can listen to "Massachussets", "To Love Somebody", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You" or "New York Mining Disaster 1941" from the same period (1967-1968); the group has been formed in 1958, they have been successful since 1963 in Australia and return to England in the beginning of 1967

This is Robin singing. The Bee Gees wrote about 1000 songs some for other artists. Very talented song writers.

They started performing when Barry was 9 and the twins, Robin and Maurice were 6. The Bee Gees were established in 1958. That is the year their younger brother Andy Gibb was born. This song was recorded in 67 I believe.

They were “discovered” and started performing professionally as the BG’s (Barry’s initials) in 1959 or 1960 in Australia. You should react to their earliest video “Bee Gees 1960”. There are quite a few videos from Australian tv before they arrived in London in 1967 and started their international career as The Bee Gees (Brothers Gibb). The video you just reacted to is from 1967. Please react to the official video for IDEA from 1968. They hold the record for #1 hits is the most consecutive decades. Hardest working, most diverse and talented group ever IMO. Thanks for keeping the music alive!

The Bee Gee's were formed in 1958 but started recording on television in 1960. 'Joke' was written largely by, and performed by, Robin Gibb. Robin sang a lot of their 1960's ballad leads and solo's; until about 1974. The only Cover I know they did was a tribute to Carol King; all others they wrote themselves. Another song that may surprise you is Barry Gibb leading in a rap type song, 'I Surrender', when they were all older men.
