I grew up with the BG's & was lucky enough to see them in 79'.. They were at their peak & Tragedy was their newest smash hit.. I can tell you , they are just as good live as their albums.. I've seen other bands that were such a disappointment playing live... But the BG's are hands down the best talent in the 20th century.. Elvis & the Beatles had enormous success , But they didnt have 5 decades with #1 hits. M Jackson's Thriller album out sold Saturday Night Fever... But again, the BG's had 6 #1 hits in a row . No one has done that... In fact, it was their own songs that knocked them from #1.. The odds that we'll see a band like that again is zero.. Mostly because bands never stay together for 50 yrs... And, only family can pull off those kinds of harmony's... The Everly brothers came close, but 3 part harmony is something you cannot teach.

OMG. Nothing. Not even a sign of what was about to happen a little less than 2 years after this interview. Losing his twin almost had Robin losing his grip. He Never was able to accept it. I truly feel the grief of losing Mo contributed heavily to Robins own ill health. Of course Mo's death hit Barry very hard as well. And it's very sad that it seemed to create a rift between Barry and Robin that could not be fixed.
