What's always surprised me is that they arrived in Australia as children and left as adults yet none of them had an Australian accent.
@GeorgeKing-ms1vyАй бұрын
They returned to England in 1967 and remained for eight years till they then relocated to the United States in the mid-70s. All in all, it can be said that they spent most of their lives outside of England, yet their accents remained firmly English.
@Jeanne-ne2lnАй бұрын
@@GeorgeKing-ms1vy True, Barry has lost most of his accent now. Still a smidge in there though.
@GeorgeKing-ms1vyАй бұрын
@@Jeanne-ne2ln Well, he still sounds mostly English to me. It's not exactly a Northern accent or the way an Englishman would naturally speak, but I don't think that accent is bound to make anyone think he is anything but English.

@ I agree. Just a major change from his younger years
@Avey-h3fАй бұрын
I always felt you can hear an Aussie accent most when Barry sings “Spicks and Specks”. They were pretty young then and perhaps still retained some of the accent. Robin to me has always had the strongest British accent throughout his life.
