Maurice was the man in the middle. Keeping the peace between the brothers. Maurice was always the jokester! This song was him apologizing to his ex-wife LuLu and to his wife Yvonne for all the drinking! It's hard realizing you have a problem, then to have the courage to get help and stay sober. I miss him and his brothers so much! r.i.p. Andy, Robin, and Maurice. Their voices of Angels 😇! I'm 70 and listen to the Bee Gees at least once a day and every night. Their voices give me such ☮️ peace! I pray ✝️ that God eases Barry's pain of losing and missing his brothers. 💟 Bee Gees forever! @Rain Murphy The same thing happened to my mum. It's extremely hard to diagnose the problem. We waited all day and nothing was done. There was a shift change and a new doctor walked in, took a quick look at her chart and she was operated on very soon after. He obviously had experience to pick up on the problem so quickly. Had Maurice been diagnosed he would have survived. I always feel very sad saying that. He was far too young to die at what is thought to be one of the best hospitals. I wouldn't say it was painful. Mum was bleeding internally and having seizures. It was extremely painful for us watching her and waiting for someone to do something. I'm sorry to hear about your step sister. I hope something can be done to help her.

I think Barry is the sexiest man ever…… after my hubby……. But still……. He’s amazing…he and Linda are both incredibly fortunate….

His voice was the main reason for the group reaching superstardom.

I’ve loved The Bee Gees for a long time, but didn’t come across this song until last year. What a treasure! Such great chords and lyrics.

And their live performances sound so much like the studio versions. That’s amazing, especially with their intricate harmonies.

Love this song Love Mo's voice so profound and masculine. He was the only Bee Gee that could really dance ❤
@2KITTIES-CLRR3 ай бұрын
😉 All of 'em could dance. 😉 You do know how Barry and Moe each had to have back surgery, though ? Not sure about Robin. But, Barry would perform on stage, and, turn around and wince at his brothers. So dedicated, they all were !!! 😻❣️😍

@@JanWhorton I was talking about how I wasn't sure if Robin had to ever have back surgery. 😉 ❣️
Sorry I misinterpreted your meaning there, @2KITTIES-CLRR. I understand now. Color me embarrassed. I'll delete what I'd said there. 🥵

This is the first and only song that I know of where Maurice was the lead singer of any Bee Gee's song, and I am so glad because he was a great singer.

Love hearing Maurice taking the lead on vocals. What a great singer he was right along with his brothers. His backup vocals really helped make the Bee Gees who they are, maybe that's why he's the Man in the Middle

Very glad to see that this song was played live before it was too late. Hits just as hard onstage as it does in the studio. Easily ranks among my Top Ten Favorite of their songs.
