Maurice's voice had an incredibly broad range. He could sing falsetto, tenor, and everything in-between. When Barry sang with his lower chest voice, Maurice usually took the falsetto during the harmony. As noted below, Closer Than Close is a goon one, but also try the Midnight Special Nights on Broadway. Although Mo doesn't have a lead in that one, he completes the harmony singing falsetto throughout the song. He is also singing falsetto for harmonies in many of their songs. They all had incredibly wide vocal ranges. In my opinion, unequaled talent!

Closer than Close and Man in the Middle are great Maurice songs. He was so smooth and sexy but he was comfortable being in the background more. He was the musical genius behind those later funky bass lines and could play many instruments. The quiet achiever. Closer than Close is especially good. There's a live performances that you'd love. Maurice sings "Railroad" - a solo release 1970ish, " Walking on Air" ( 2001), Wildflower" ( beautiful), "Suddenly"( cute & catchy), "Man in the Middle", " Lay it On Me", " Closer Than Close" I hope you react to some of these! Maurice was a middle man between Barry and Robin...Maurice had a low sexy voice...Robin had a unique high vibrato..Barry had layer of different voices..romantic sweet voice...incredible skill of falsetto....of course all the Gibb brothers could sing falsetto but Barry was amazing skill....Barry also sung songs in an,awesome funky voice also🎉❤wow how incredible the Gibb brothers were🎉🎉❤❤forever my great band❤❤🎉

You should check out their medley from the midnight special from december 1975,As regards mo singing solo he did not do as much as his brothers he liked to be mostly in the back ground.He did their first falsetto in 1967 The song to love some body.

Barry and Robin had ambition and talent, Maurice was talented, as well, but basically content to make music for a living. Mo did most of the arrangements, played guitar, bass, piano, even drums. Barry said Mo was the harmonizer who filled in wherever it was needed, both vocally and in keeping the peace between the brothers.

Born Douglastown, the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea. Lived in Manchester as kids. Moved to Australia in 1958 just after Andy was born at the suggestion of the police, Barry for theft and Robin a firebug. Were there only @9 years and returned to the UK. Never lived in Australia again except their sister Lesley.
