These 3 brothers are savants (child prodigies). They all 3 have perfect pitch and they sang as children. Their mother heard singing coming from their bedroom when they were youngsters and she thought her sons accidentally left the radio on. Mom opened the door to turn the radio off and realized that she wasn’t hearing the radio! This group has hit after hit after hit! Climb down that rabbit hole that goes straight to China, you will not be disappointed!

Thank you for not stopping and interrupting these amazing voices. The Bee Gees did this in one take and donated all the profits from this song to charity which is still happening today. They sang with their true voices, no auto tune (wasn't around in the 70s) and no pitch correct. The three brothers had been singing since they were very young and so the harmonizing came naturally to them. Sadly, Barry, the lead and older brother is the only one left. Maurice died in 2003 and Robin (his twin) died in 2012.

The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced). From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ_MiYaebNuKiKs Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXnCm2xmm6h8oZY, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJerhoZrgstjZrM. From their Still Waters album, Smoke and MIrrors: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4Wcp4V-iLyBmM0. From the 1960's I've gotta get a message to you kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXKXdHykedOHoZo. And from the 1990's the simple song Blue Island live in an accoustic version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2eVeJ93etWZqLs.

I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Lived a lifestyle involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who was 78, January 12, 2023. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive kzbin.info/www/bejne/nH-pq5mtgbJqaMU How Deep is Your Love kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqHUop2LbNpoj8U For Whom the Bells Toll kzbin.info/www/bejne/rIXCgWOwqbKEbdE Jive Talking kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXKvfHSelMd_a8k Closer Than Close kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2e7epegeq1_iNU One kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYO4loCdr7R2edE You Win Again kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYu8aqKPiLidfKs Spirits (Having Flown) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hX_Qh3iAo92sqcU Bodyguard kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKmYiap_gKimadE Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJDahY2gpJ6UsM0 (Destiny Child's cover has too much drama. But Barry liked it.) Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) Andy Gibb (12 years younger than Barry. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3mZaWl6rt5kbNk At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2!

I wanted to give you just an interesting fact about this one song, because it's cooler than a get out 😊. When the oldest brother Barry, (the one in the middle) wrote this song and they put the music with the lyrics, none of the brothers had a clue that this one song alone would be #1 around the World! 😮 The three brothers agreed that God had blessed them right from the beginning. They had their music producer draw up the paperwork signing over every last dollar and all proceeds go directly to UNICEF, a World Organization that helps children born with childhood disabilities such as Muscular Dystrophy, Cleft Lip, MS, and so many others. To this very day anything this one song brings in, in the form of $$...it goes to the fund for children. ❤

I've got to give you guys big time props on you're not cutting in constantly while the song playing and doing your comments at the under the song. So many reviewers just constantly keep cutting in during the song and you don't get to enjoy the song as well as your comments. Especially these great songs like this one I swear I bet I've heard it nearly a million times in my lifetime it such a great song there's many other songs I've listened to a lot just like this song but you don't want to have the phone cut up for comments. I could tell you both were vibing to the song while I was listening to it and so I could understand it that's a good thing.

In August 1958, the Gibb family, including older sister Lesley and infant brother Andy (born in March 1958), emigrated to Australia and settled in Redcliffe, Queensland, just north-east of Brisbane. The young brothers began performing to raise pocket money. Speedway promoter and driver Bill Goode, who had hired the brothers to entertain the crowd at the Redcliffe Speedway in 1960, introduced them to Brisbane radio-presenter jockey Bill Gates. The crowd at the speedway would throw money onto the track for the boys, who generally performed during the interval of meetings (usually on the back of a truck that drove around the track) and, in a deal with Goode, any money they collected from the crowd they were allowed to keep. Gates named the group the "BGs" (later changed to "Bee Gees") after his, Goode's and Barry Gibb's initials. The name was not specifically a reference to "Brothers Gibb", despite popular belief

And only ifya wearing kinda shield of arrogance, like many so called musicexperts or Bee Gees-haters, it doesn't happen that way. Check'em out with 'Blue Island', live and unplugged, MTV Most Wanted in 1993. Here they perform with acoustic-guitars, played by Barry and Maurice and all three of them are singin' with their chestvoices.

The Bee Gees considered themselves as Song Writers. They wrote several hits for other artists. Heartbreaker was sung by Dion Warwick, Grease sung by Frankie Valli, and my least favorite song Islands in the stream sung by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton along with dozens of other artists. They had a younger brother Andy Gibb that they wrote for. One of Andy's most popular songs was Shadow Dancing. There is also a very good chance that you have heard their song Stayin' Alive in movies. If nothing else check out Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees and Heartbreaker by Dion Warwick. That's my favorite song that she did.

@@brandonnshante I'm glad to hear that. Also my favorite Bee Gees song is from 1997 and that is Alone. I would also like for you to watch the video for. When The Children Cry from the group White Lion and please let me know what you think. It's a Great song and video that everyone should watch and listen to. Even if you don't do a reaction to When the Children Cry it's worth listening too. Have a great night

And to think Barry didn't know that he could sing Falsetto until the 70's after all those hit songs they had in the 60s just WoW.

Shante, I see you are mesmerized with the video. I'm 68 and still smile and close my eyes. 3:04 -- 'meant for all to see our precious love ... such perfect pitch and sound. That's when I say, "Sing Barry!" 4:08 --- Maurice and his harmony (the one on the right) There are songs where Barry and Robin (left) are singing together, and they sound like one person singing.

Good Reaction and if you really want to learn about The Bee Gees then look at their video of their song: "ALONE" as t is full of Home Movies from the age of 8 years old on Stage in Australia ( Having left The UK) but you can not take your eyes off the video as you will miss some clips because there are so many right thru' the video. ENJOY!

As you can see, Barry has splotches on his torso. His mom said at the age of 2, he reached up on the table and hot tea fell on his body. He was in the hospital for almost 3 months. He did not talk for 2 yrs. Barry said he does not remember that happening. He also has splotches on his arms.
