This was a number one hit. They donated all the money to UNICEF for the children. I have heard at least 12 million. These brothers are so talented, they all share this wonderful talent. They write all their songs as well as many number one hits for other artist. Singers, song writers, musicians as well as producers. They sing many varieties of songs all great.....How deep is your love....To love Somebody..... Staying Alive..... Night Fever....Lonely Days....How do you Mend a Broken Heart....You should be Dancing....there are 1000s I love the Bee Gees the best group of all time ....Great reaction!!!

Being brothers, they all had a similar singing voice, Barry was just a bit stronger in the vibrato, I believe this is why they harmonize so well together. They had a 4th baby brother that had his own solo career going on, his name was Andy Gibb, which if you ever do a reaction vid to "You Should Be Dancing" he joins them on that one, it's all 4 on stage. They were all amazing.

I grew up with this great group. They wrote all their own music for themselves & others. Love their early music especially 60's-70's. Barry has a great falsetto voice. Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "To Love Somebody", "Holiday", "Massachusetts", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "Words", "The Singer Sang His Song", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Lonely Days", "I Started A Joke", "Melody Fair", "First of May", "Give Your Best", "Lamplight" etc.

I am 70, we had the best music hands down especially in the 70s and 80s, this is my favorite group and song!! I was a year out of Georgia Tech's 6 year architecture program, when this song came out, but during school we would stay up all night in the huge long glassed building lit up all night in the 70s with all that great music playing.....to keep us awake all night. My Dad was FAA Atlanta and all the airliners used our lit up building alllll night long to figure where they were in the 50s and on from then....and the whole building rocked all night every night, but after the Bee Gees came out with this hit and others, while working in downtown Atlanta at medium to large firms and late into the nights? We were listening to all the greats and Bee Gees at the top of that list!!!!! We had the best radio stations and music as it was uplifting, not depressive like you hear today, it will change your mood for the better with a lot if our music...Enjoy!!! Smiles!!!!

" In the US, "Too Much Heaven" would become the fourth of six consecutive No. 1s, equalling the record set by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles for the most consecutive No. 1 songs. The six Bee Gee songs are "How Deep Is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever", "Too Much Heaven", "Tragedy" and "Love You Inside Out". The songs spanned the years of 1977, 1978 and 1979. All of the publishing royalties on "Too Much Heaven" would go to UNICEF charity. The song earned over $7 million in publishing royalties (some sources say $11 million). In the first week of 1979, preceding the Music for UNICEF Concert, the single first topped the charts in both the United States and Canada. " It is INDEED a FABULOUS and BEAUTIFUL song!! They have a 5-decade catalog! Enjoy!! Can't go wrong listening to anything by them!! LEGENDS INDEED!!

Please react to Journey - "Mother, Father" from their Escape Tour - Live in Houston 1981. Thank you for the Bee Gees! Love this group, too! 3 Brothers from the UK. Only Barry Gibb (middle one, singing in this song) is still alive, bit they all had incredible voices and harmonies. If you do another song by them, do "Nights on Broadway" from the Midnight Special. You'll hear all three of them singing live. Barry Gibb is the oldest. Robin and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Gibb were fraternal twins. Maurice died in 2003 and Robin in 2012. they also had a younger brother, Andy Gibb, who had a solo career and had massive hits. He was a teen idol and had 3 number one songs before hitting 20 years old. Unfortunately, he is gone, too. He died in 1988 at age 30. The Gibb brothers = Talent. So does Steve Perry and Journey. Next Journey song after "Mother, Father" would be Wheel in the Sky" - LIVE in 1978 (always, always listen to Journey live if possible. Most of their official videos are live videos because they HATED making videos, so they would usually just have a video from a live concert be their official video) and "When you Love a Woman." (no live video for that one because they never toured for that album, so it is a music video). So many great songs by them. But be careful - Steve Perry left Journey in 1998, so make sure any song you react to by them is from the 1970s-1996, because they got new lead singers after he left the band - and it's not the same! FYI - viewers want to hear Journey with Steve Perry ONLY and will probably come down hard on you if you react to a different singer. Just a heads up! Journey = always, always a live performance., if possible and ALWAYS with Steve Perry on vocals. Their 1981 Escape Tour Live in Houston is always a go to for any reactions possible. Wheel in the Sky, I will link below. Excellent song! kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6mqdol_q7h5m7s&ab_channel=journeyVEVO

Besides #1 hits they had MANY songs on the Billboard chart. In my opinion, the Bee Gees slammed the Disco era with hit after hit. They had songs from 1967 to their last album in 2001. Following Maurice Gibb's sudden death in January 2003 at the age of 53, Barry and Robin retired the group's name after 45 years of activity. In 2009, Robin announced that he and Barry had agreed that the Bee Gees would re-form and perform again. Robin died in May 2012, aged 62, leaving Barry as the only surviving member of the group. Anything you play by the Bee Gees would be AMAZING!! My personal pick would be..."Stayin' Alive". You've been doing their ballads...you need to get pumped up and do some rockin'. ~Dawne

The Bee Gees had an active career from 1958-2003. They are 3 brothers. The two on sides, Maurice and Robin, are fraternal twins. Both of the twins have passed away. This performance was live at a UNICEF fundraiser event. There is no mixing or any type of electronic manipulation here. It's them raw. They donated "Too Much Heaven" to UNICEF. It raised about 11 million for UNICEF. The Bee Gees had nine singles reach number one on the Hot 100 chart - which, according to Billboard, puts them in third place for the most number ones in history, after the Beatles and the Supremes.

When you got up to start dancing, you missed Barry and Robin's facial expression. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Barry (the middle) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He was 75 on September 1, 2021, which was also the 50th wedding anniversary with Linda. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds! Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins! Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. 😪Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine and blotchy spots on his chest. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. His mom said he almost died. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they recorded after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: How Deep Is Your Love? kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqHUop2LbNpoj8U Closer Than Close kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2e7epegeq1_iNU One kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYO4loCdr7R2edE You Win Again kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYu8aqKPiLidfKs Spirits (Having Flown) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hX_Qh3iAo92sqcU Bodyguard kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKmYiap_gKimadE Emotion (Destiny's Child did a cover on this, but IMO Samantha Sang (original) is MUCH better. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJDahY2gpJ6UsM0 At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2. As youngsters, they were so 'busy', that the constable (police) suggested to their parents that should move or they would be placed in a juvenile facility. So glad they moved.

That is a very good bio. I want to add one more bit of information. The groups name, Bee Gee's, comes from their original name, B.G.'s, which stands for The Brother's Gibb, as Gibb is their last name. They had such an AMAZING talent!

One take, no pitch correct or auto tune, just pure voices. The Bee Gees are brothers, Barry, Robin & Maurice who are twins and they had been singing together since they were youngsters.
