It's because he's like a normal person like us. I just realised that he isn't a massive bee-enthusiast, he just picked up the love for bees just recently, and personally I really love this guy's vids because he proving to us that almost anyone can do this (bee keeping) I LOVE these vids, they really promote the beauty of bees, something I never understood before. Also bees ARE essential to our everyday lives, they are also a factor that keeps the world sleeping peacefully... :D That was a heartfelt message, thanks for letting me let it out :D

Thank you, Taras .. Love the Bee Keeping Videos. The flowers are beautiful. That was a Cosmos flower that the Bee was sitting on in the field, so beautiful. I used to plant Cosmos for my Mama, she loved them..she loved flowers of all kinds and working in them and so did I. The Bees are in bee heaven, all those pretty flowers around them. :)

too early to harvest I think, they still need the honey and pollen to grow some more, when they produce excess then he'll collect.

You really can't harvest honey the first year unless the hives are just insanely awesome. It looked like he had about a quarter of his frames with honey. A full hive will need about half the frames of honey to do well through the winter. Next spring he could cut off 3/4 of the combs for harvest. My aunt had a small farm like that when I was a kid.

The reason the bees buzz their wings inside the hive when they could just rest, is because their wings flapping cools down the eggs and larvae. Imagine putting your hand in there, it would be like a strong fan blowing from all directions.

There are no kings in beehives. There is only one queen. Workers and drones. Then there are drones that are male she mates with, lay eggs and that's what the queen does for the rest of her life. She is the ruler. And I'm pretty sure most of the bees in beehives are all cousins or siblings. I don't remember. The other bees protects the hive with their life and the queen of course. You should read about bees. Bees are really interesting.

Hi Taras, Great video. I like how enthusiastic you are with your bees. Those flowers really grew fast. One thing I would like to comment on, a queen bee will not mate with her own drones. They are her sons, after all, and they avoid incest. She will fly out to a mating congregation area in the sky and mate with other drones that have also gathered there to mate. It is all done in the air. A successful drone will not return because he dies in the mating process. From what I see in your hive with a queen but no eggs, she may be unmated. If I were you, I would requeen that hive and I would do it soon so the new queen can influence the hive before the winter comes. I hope my advice is helpful. Great work, I love your bee yard.

just hope the queen did mate well with the drone(specially with drones from outside the beehive bc of inbreeding), btw if you notice that there are only drones in a hive, it means that queen didn't get to mate well, you should get a new queen from someone who breeds them and ask them how to place a new queen in a beehive (heard that spraying them with misture of honey and water also helps).
