I hope Im not too late to start off, But I dont expect to get any honey the first year. Hopefully will have enough frames just for the bees.

I am sorry I missed this Bee Talk. I wanted to add that I have a camera on my hives and during the eclipse I noticed that about ten minutes before totality all of the bees returned to the hive and the entrance remained quite with no activity for about 40 minutes and then as the eclipse ended the bees started to leave the hives and resume normal activity.
