immortal technique also said in an interview: “it was a true story that I made myself more of a part of when I wrote the song, it became an urban legend and what's sick is that people thought it was about rape and it was really about how we are killing ourselves and destroying the most valuable resource that the Latino/Black community has, our women.” and i agree with that i think the most important line in this song is: “So when the devil wants to dance with you, you better say never Because the dance with the devil might last you forever”

@roryslaine78962 жыл бұрын
Do people actually think he was involved in a crime like this? I heard this song for the first time like 10 years ago and I didn't come away from it thinking he was glorifying or boasting at all. It's more like a cautionary tale. Do some people actually think he did this? I've seen a few comments suggesting so but no actual accusatory comments. I know the song is unbelievably explicit and heavy but isn't that meant to be the point? Like if you listen to this and think: "cool, that's what I want.' You probably need some sort of therapy. This song doesn't glorify being a gangster at all. It's the complete opposite of that.
@TheNewAkil2 жыл бұрын
@@roryslaine7896 I don’t think people think he is glorifying doing these type of things nor does anyone want to do it. He literally said “I was there with billy Jacobs and I raped his mom too”. So on someone’s first listen wouldn’t it sound like he is writing from his own memory? They aren’t stupid they are literally listening to the song and no one thinks he is glorifying this, everyone knows it’s cautionary. Hope that clears your questions up.

@GodsQ4 ай бұрын
@giacomofigus7169 I feel you. I was just thinkin' about making a comment to alllll these people that are so into this song that I do think there is something being transmitted.. you are right. Music is very powerful and it can be used for God or evil. I actually only heard of this song last night, when I heard about it from a producer on RAPZILLA CRITIQUE FRIDAYS named OnBeatMusic {it's every friday about 8pm, cool lil' community, maybe see you on sometime, you can be anonymous if you want though and just try to help people that pay and submit for help, sort of like a cool focus group}. He was tryin' to help this guy put more emotion into a song and he mentioned this one sooo highly where I wrote above in comment to someone's comment. But bro, you gotta be careful what you put in, cause God gave us a choice, free will bro, and if you pound something in, it's generally what you become if you know what I'm sayin'. Your parents started you right by putting God into you as young...so it's there, even if laying dormant. I'm gonna pray for you, and that the right laborer finds you. But man, you know we in the end times.. and we never know when that time is. The devil wanna catch you slippin'. Like if you check out "Who's the man" by Bizzle... he's tellin' of different outcomes from a moment, depending on how he acts, or what he does. Hey, I don't know whyyy I felt to come on to this right now and felt to write you as I was reading.. I just hope you're blessed. Maybe God wants you to draw closer to Him.

Exquisite. Not a single breath wasted; each imbued with meaning, purpose. A message delivered by an angel not fallen (angel means messenger). More need to hear this profound insight expressed with music/rythym that can capture and hold ones attention as the words and story draw you deeper into the bleak, tragic and sad reality too many fall prey to. I hope this is spread far and wide; that it finds its way among the antithesis it shines its light upon.

His anger, pathological lying and praise of his estranged violent father had me showing him this. The song isn't about a kid who rapes his mother it's about a kid who fucks his life up by doing a load of shit and what immortal is trying to say is that this kind of shit happens in everyday life. And no tech didn't rape an innocent woman, that's just part of the metaphor saying that he fucked up in his earlier life too and that doing a load of shit you regret in the future will stay with you forever."
