If you managed to watch all the way though, well done, it's a longer video than normal, this was a Beech trim at the beginning of December on a very clod and damp morning, i ran the line trimmer along the bottom of the hedge first, to make it easier to rake up, most trimming was done with the hla 66 and a few tougher bits on top, I used the hsa100, both with ap200 batteries, 4 hours ish and 4 large bags of trimmings

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd cheers Nathan, the 66 is a cracking trimmer, very much a daily machine, this one is getting old and clocked some hours, got brand new one on shelf, which I bought 18 months ago, but old one just keeps going 😀. Happy New year mate 👍

Great job on the hedge looks well. What was the model of the strimmer, what it like working all day.
@jasongardener342512 күн бұрын
Thanks mate 😊. I used the kombi kma120 r, (there is a video on it, couple of months ago) really depends on how your using it, if edges on mowing run, your get a day as its only used a few minutes each lawn, if your looking to strim all day, your need to cycle battery's. Happy New year 👍

Happy new year Jason, Have you retired the HSA86 off now in favour of the 100, which do you prefer?
@jasongardener342512 күн бұрын
Happy New year mate. The hsa86 is on the shelf mostly, but it does get a outing now and then as two of us now, especially box trimming time, good question, the 86 is a fantastic machine, but I seem to favour the hsa100, probably mainly because it's unbelievably quiet 😊
@martin_the_grasshopper199112 күн бұрын
Yeah it does come across quieter and I like the grease port design, I replaced my old 86 this time last year with a new 86 but it looks like it's discontinued now so will be a 100 next time, always been very happy with it tho.
@jasongardener342512 күн бұрын
@@martin_the_grasshopper1991 the 100 is sooo quiet, compared to the 86, think the 100 is the 86 replacement, but the 86 was/is a great machine

@@jasongardener3425 it's like my favourite daily mower the rm545vr that looks like it's discontinued now too with no rear roller replacement at that size that I can see, I use that purely cos it's so good in the wet compared to anything else I've ever had.

That’s a beautiful hedge. The shoots at the top seem to be pretty tough. Having considered many plants, I’ve decided to plant beech hedges all around my garden. How long would it take to reach six feet tall if I planted two- or three-foot bare roots?
