How was it for putting it on its side to do lawn edging? Not sure if I should buy this or the 135r as a general strimmer for for nightly cuts.

Hey you want go to Perth Scotland the Beech Hedge near their along the old Scone road its 80 feet high that was 60 years ago. They had scaffolding put up to trim it cant remember how long perhaps 500yards or more.

Hi Just brought the 130r battery one . My batteries might be getting on a bit as when using the strimmer head it kills my battery in full power mode . Great for using as a hedgecutter tho which is what i brought it for .

Nice. I have the same hedge but probably only a couple of meters high. I am trying to cut the sides back that have half obscured a path but I have only been able to take it so far because it’s kind of empty inside now so if I cut further I’ll just be left with bare thick branches, losing the covering green layer and all the privacy, if that makes sense. I have no idea what to do now, any tips would be great..

@@JamesBrown- the biggest problem with conifer, you can only remove a limited amount, go past green and it will not regenerate, its a difficult one, open path up, but retain hedge, something needs to give and unfortunately sounds like a decision you can only made

@@nealwilson6488 cool, as your holding the machine it rotates anti clockwise, so same as a traditional petrol machine, run times, in all honesty, I never timed anything as very difficult, it really depends on the speed, eco or fast and if using full trigger, best I can say, on eco 300s think aprox 40-45 minutes ish, if its sensible 4-6 inches high grass, hope that helps. Was that both sides, or does neighbour deal with that? Is that the 8ft or 10ft tripod ladder? Good job anyway, bloody hard work. I love the way that trimmer can be extended/retracted on the fly to give you a double stroke and catch the full width without having to move the ladder or change extensions.

Yes top, both sides, the hla86 is great for getting across, but being able to extend easily is so much quicker than having to put a extension in, very versatile tool 😊, I used the 8 foot as its tall enough, but lower than top fo hedge, so ladder wasn't in my way, cheers mate 👍 😊

big job, tough on the old arms, I like laurel, the provide and all year round natural fence, nice and bright unlike conifer, they are just hard to maintain keeping them in check in the summer months without burning the leaves, cutting harder in the winter. great work as always

I do really like the HLA 66, well balanced and fairly lightweight... I find myself quite productive when using it. It has nice blades and leaves a good finish 👍🏽
