Beech Mountain and Hawksnest is the best Skiing & Snow Tubing in North Carolina

Just two hours from Charlotte, North Carolina, Beech Mountain is the highest town east of the Rocky Mountains at 5,506ft. We skied at Beech Mountain Ski Resort and went tubing at Hawksnest, followed by a wilderness run alpine coaster in Sugar Mountain Ski resort. This video entails our trip to Banner Elk and includes suggestions that we think are helpful to know prior to going to these ski resorts.

Okay for sure you want to go to Hawksnest! Sugar Mountain was fun but tubing is kind of limited and an afterthought to the ski slopes, however Hawksnest is built around tubing. Please come back here and let us know what you thought after….but you will have a great time tubing, it’s something we want to do again. Love the video, and the hair Rad!!! The one and only time I have ever been to beech mountain we got snowed in because we didn't have 4wheel drive. We also went to all of these places you showed!!! Really cool to see it again!!!

You’re going to love it! Also there are a few vineyards nearby as well as grandfather mountain with the mile high bridge you can walk across. It’s a great area. Let us know how you liked it when you get back

Can you guys believed my family and I have been to banner elk twice in winter , got to ski beech mountain and Sugar mountain but have ever seeing snow falling . Unbelievable, we envy you guys LOL . when was that trip date ? we went January 22th to the 28th on 2021 and from January 30th to February 6 this year but we just can't find that weather we are seeing on this video . how lovely guys , looks like fun. Both of our trip was very little snow on the ground and the second one was all rainy . Really Suck. Great video guys keep it up .

Haha no way!!!! We went January 28th to 30th….you literally just missed it. Like just missed it by a day. The very beginning of the video when we got there and couldn’t fly the drone was the 28th. But the area is beautiful right?!? We love it and live only a few hours away. Thank you for watching and the compliment, we love showcasing the area near where we live and hope other people visit and see how awesome it is. Hopefully you go when there’s snow next time.

We also went to a town festival in Grand fathers mountain. For Us is about 11 hours trip from Miami Fl. We will try next year again wish us luck LOL.

Wow Miami to Banner Elk is a haul! We were in Florida a few months ago, went to swim with manatees and St Augustine (our last few videos) and saw nights of lights. Florida is an amazing state! But seriously don’t give up on Beech Mtn yet…..hopefully you come and it pours snow. Grandfather Mtn is beautiful and also Blowing Rock, Linville Falls and Boone, all really close by. Definitely check those areas out when it’s not snowing.
