A reorchestration of Beedle's Shop Ship from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (and also reused in Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks and Skyward Sword). It was originally composed by Kenta Nagata, Hajime Wakai, Toru Minegishi, and Koji Kondo and therefore all rights go to the sound team and to Nintendo.
My partner gifted me a soprano ukulele for my birthday and so for no other reason other than that, and the fact this song will forever play in a loop in the back of my mind, I decided to arrange it on a whim. Technically not a full reorchestration and more of a remaster I suppose, this cover has the most amount of live recorded instruments than any other on my channel, featuring me, myself and I playing both a soprano and tenor ukulele, lap steel, bongos and all the auxiliary percussion (shakers, etc).
Some additional bonus facts as there's not a lot to say about this one:
One day I came across and bought a copy of the Spectrasonics Supreme Beats percussion sample library CD for the large sum of $2, which has sat on my CD shelf and occasionally been used here and there. BUT while doing research on this track I found out the original guiro sample as heard on the track in-game, actually comes from that exact same sample library, so I dug it out and reused it in my arrangement. I also recorded the original marimba-esque sound heard on the in-game track - the 'Nomad Perc' preset from a friend's Roland JV-1080 (although it's buried in the mix and almost impossible to hear). In any case, pretty neat huh?
