Beef Cannelloni - Kitchen Alchemy
Welcome to a new episode of Kitchen Alchemy!
Today, I’ll show you how to make delicious Beef Cannelloni, a classic Italian dish that will win over your heart and palate. 🍝✨
Ingredients:
• Cannelloni: 12
• Ground beef: 250 g 🥩
• Carrot: 1 🥕
• Onion: 1 🧅
• Celery: 1 🥬
• Tomato sauce: 500 ml 🍅
• Béchamel sauce: 500 ml 🥛
• Parmesan cheese: 100 g 🧀
• Tomato paste: 1 tsp 🍅
• White wine: 1 glass 🍷
• Olive oil 🫒
• Salt 🧂
• Fresh basil 🌿
Preparation:
1. Prepare the filling: Finely chop the carrot, onion, and celery.
In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté the vegetables until tender.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
Pour in the white wine and let it evaporate. 🍳🥕
2. Tomato sauce: Add tomato paste and tomato sauce to the meat mixture. Stir well, add salt and chopped fresh basil. Simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes. 🍅🔥
3. Béchamel sauce: If you don’t have ready-made béchamel sauce, you can make it by melting butter in a saucepan, adding flour and stirring well.
Gradually add milk, continuing to stir until you get a smooth and thick sauce.
Season with a pinch of salt and nutmeg to taste. 🥛🧈
4. Assembly: Fill the cannelloni tubes with the meat and vegetable mixture. Arrange them in an oiled baking dish. Cover with béchamel sauce and sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan cheese. 🍽️🧀
5. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden and crispy. 🌟🍴
6. Serve: Serve the cannelloni hot, garnished with a few fresh basil leaves. Enjoy your meal! 😋🍷
Helpful Tips:
• For a vegetarian version, substitute the ground beef with spinach and ricotta.
• You can prepare the filling a day ahead to save time.
• Homemade béchamel sauce adds a special touch to the dish, but you can also use store-bought for a quicker preparation.
