Beef kanji
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups kanji rice /red raw rice
300 grams beef chunks
10 garlic podsas needed
1 tablespoon Fenugreek seeds
A teaspoon of chili powder
A tablespoon of coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric
1 cup boiled chick peas
1/4 cup broken wheat
2 tablespoons ghee
Half onions chopped
Rampa/ cinnamon stick
Salt per taste.
Coconut milk as needed

Method
Rinse the rice and in a pressure cooker add all the ingredients except chickpeas,coconut milk,ghee and chopped onions . Cook till 3 -5 whistles and let pressure release naturally and check if it is cooked and add coconut milk and bring to a slightly boiling point . Heat a frying pan add ghee and fry the onions carefully in medium heat till golden color. Pour into the kanji and serve hot!!
