We sure do love a good roast in our house. So naturally, over the years I have tried to find various ways to eat Roast, rice and potatoes. (One of God's holy gifts) And something you can NEVER go wrong with!
I truly do love these hearty recipes, and love that I get to share them with yall. If you have never had roast from a slow cooker (or in any form) then you are totally MISSING OUT! Get to your slow cooker right now and try this out! I promise you wont be disappointed.
I have served roast with many different gravy varieties as well, and this simple mixture just seems to always get the job done. However, if you do want to switch it up in the future, we also love to mix one packet of ranch, 1 packet of gravy, 1 packet of italian seasoning and half cup of beef broth together for another great option! That one has actually been a crowd favorite for a few church families I had the pleasure of catering to over the years. Maybe next time ill show yall that one in full....hmmm.

OFFICIAL RECIPE:
-Beef Tips from your local grocery store
-1/4 cup flour
-2 tbsp butter
-1 pack of gravy mix
-1 pack of French onion soup
-1 qt of beef broth
-Potatoes, onions and carrots (optional!)
First, toss your meat in the flour and coat well. Next, sear your beef tips in the butter until it’s golden brown. Only brazing them, do not cook through.
Dump the beef and all if it’s drippings into a crockpot.
In a cup, pour in your gravy mix, French onion soup mix and 1 cup of beef broth. Stir it all up and pour the mixture over your beef tips.
Close your lid and turn it on low for 6-7 hours. (Remember a crockpot rule, do NOT open your lid for at least the first 2 hours! )
Next, add in your potatoes and carrots at the 4 hr mark. Then add in your onion at the 1 hr mark and serve when finished! We serve this over rice and it is SO yummy!
