Beef traceability

In the wake of mad cow disease, the European Union adopted new rules, in the year 2000, making it easier to trace the origin of beef products. Cattle in all member states must now be identifiable and registered. Strict regulations also apply for the labelling of meat products.VIDEOGRAPHIC
