FOR THOSE ASKING FOR SUBTITLES/ENG TRANSLATION: For this episode of "Panlasang Pinoy" we will be cooking Beef Broccoli. The ingredients we need are: beef, broccoli, cornstarch, black ground pepper, rice wine, beef stock, ouster sauce, soy sauce, and garlic. We also need cooking oil and water. First step is to marinate the beef. Add in the soy sauce, rice wine, ground black pepper, and cornstarch. Mix it all in until the marinated sauce seeps into the beef. While the beef is marinating, we will combine the following ingredients for the sauce: pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef stock, and rice wine, and then stir. Set aside. Next step is to blanch the broccoli. Boil water in a pot then add in the broccoli. Let it cook for a minute then place the broccoli in an iced water bath to maintain its freshness and texture. Leave for a while before pouring out excess water. Next is to heat up the pan. Make sure it's really hot before putting in the oil. Then place in the marinated beef in the heated pan. Scatter the beef to cook it well and evenly. After the beef is cooked, add in the garlic. Stir a bit. Cook beef until light brown in color. Add in the sauce we mixed a while ago. Bring to a boil until sauce is thick. Add in the broccoli. Add in cornstarch to further thicken the sauce. Mix well. Done. For the exact measurements, visit their website.

|| INGREDIENTS || •Beef •Broccoli•Corn Starch•Ground Black Pepper•Rice Wine•Beef Stock•Oyster Sauce•Soy Sauce•Garlic•Cooking Oil & Water Step 1Marinate the meat ADD Soy sauce, Rice Wine,Pepper and corn starch. Step 2While meat is marinating make your sauce ADD Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce, Beef Stock, and Rice Wine stir & Combine! Step 3Blanch your broccoli remove & cool for cooking. Step 4Add oil to skillet and add the beef cook, flip and continue cooking. ADD Garlic and brown. Next add sauce and bring it to a boil to thicken a bit the mix in broccoli. Step 5Dilute Corn starch and water add it to the pan and cook & mix.=======&&& As he said you can go to that website for exact measurements. SIDE NOTE - Based off my knowledge of playing with a chicken stir fry I make often the Corn starch solution (Starch and water mix) is supposed to be a thickener for the sauce. It's equal part water to starch . I usually add it when I have a lot of sauce made and want it to stick to the chicken more. YW!!

Pretty accurate video on making beef and broccoli. The chinese likes to use dark soy sauce along with regular soy sauce for beef dishes to give their dish a darker color. Also, drizzle a small amount of toasted sesame oil for added flavor right at the end. I think a little sugar can be added to balance the saltiness of the soy sauce and oyster sauce. thanks for sharing the recipe.

in linguistics, the language that he uses is called code mixing. It's mixing two or more languages in certain speech varieties. the is language phenomenon is true to former western colonies. This type of language mixing is very common and part of everyday language. So it's not that his English is bad, it's just a type of speech that is quite common in many (but not all) Filipino communities.
