Counted 5 commercials by the half way mark, ridiculous. Won't keep subscribers with this algorithm.

Sorry about that Don. You will find this on all the monetized channels from now until Christmas. It's the advertisers paying more for ads to get a jump on Christmas sales. Not all bad, I do see a considerable boost in my revenue from KZbin at this time. Only the mega channels earn a lot of money from KZbin, I am not one of them, I do earn enough to keep it interesting after my 2nd year on here but certainly can not retire on it alone. I do earn enough to match what social security would pay if I were to retire right now at 62 but would have to sell some of my property or loose it to taxes.

Gordon. This is the best channel on KZbin and I’d keep watching if the adverts doubled. Keep making the videos mate. We love them. Best regards Simon.

Thank you Simon. I don't think it's the best channel because I can do just about everything this guy does here, my favorite channels are of people who do what I only dream of doing. Best regards from the States Gordon.

THANK YOU!! I really enjoyed this. Good autopsy. I loved how you "heavy re-engineered" the Klutch brand unit. ( As far as the "as cast" gears, you would be surprised how many industrial U.S.A. made, very accurate machines I have found those sand cast gears in! Seem to work fine.) As you surmised, bad weld on cheap thin casting. I imagine it's hard to care, wearing flip flops with your family held hostage. So, here's a like minded maintenance/tradesman who just subscribed!! Good Job.

Thanks for the sub Jeff. The Klutch brand is still as is out of the box, it's another brand that I reworked on the video, I wanted 2 of them, one for my truck and another for my shop. Thanks for watching.

I got the same one from amazon, been using it a good bit in the past year and i haven't had any issues with it yet. The hinges on the plastic case are broke but thats to be expected. I just can't believe they can make the torque multiplier and all those sockets plus case, and ship it from china to my doorstep for less than $70.
@GordonRobertsonDIY5 жыл бұрын
Jack, do you have the one that claims 78:1? if so can you count the turns and let me know how many?

@@GordonRobertsonDIY www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00H99Y556?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Heres the one i got off Amazon. It's 1:58 ratio. Currently not available. It's black with krinkle paint just the same as yours. Says labor saving wrench on the case. The extension that would be used to get off the the nuts that are already broken loose is hollow and very cheap. Mine actually came bent a bit. But since the nuts are already broken free, it's not an issue. Looks exactly the same as yours. I paid less than $70 shipped. Good tool for me.

Roll up some shim stock that you have cut a tab and notch to lock the ends into each other for the output shaft bushing.. it can be soup can , it an be exhaust slip connectors cut and rolled tighter. It could be car fender. Measure the clearance with a conventional feeler gauge. Divide that by 2 and you should have your shim thickness. If you had a set of cheap import adjustable hand reemerged you could come up with a crazy close fit.

I'm confused Gordon. Wasn't the 2nd one in a box labeled Klutch and said 1:64 ratio on the label. Is this a 3rd one?
@GordonRobertsonDIY5 жыл бұрын
Yes the 2nd one was, and does have the 64 turns as advertised. Someone asked me to do a review on the 78:1 from Amazon and I too wanted to know about that one and so here it is.

In india i am too using the black one for trucks(semi's in US ). But the 4:10 one you are holding on your right hand, teeth on that one were completely destroyed, also this has some grinding issues, checked the grease and it was covered in metal filaments from the gears. Just like you mentioned at the end of the video it has lot of room around to play resulting in slipped gears, can we fix this? Do you guys have any alternative to this Chinese wrench, like something of better quality and long lasting, because here in India all are Chinese imported lasting 2-3 yrs
@GordonRobertsonDIY3 жыл бұрын
I haven't found a quality made one yet, if I really depended on having one, I might consider making one from an electric winch motor, they are built on the same principal. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@jaygadhiya99083 жыл бұрын
@@GordonRobertsonDIY thanks for replying, haven't heard about electric winch motor you are talking about could you explain a bit
@GordonRobertsonDIY3 жыл бұрын
12 volt winch motors also have a short stack of planetary gears inside to slow down the speed and increase the torque, they are machined gears not rough cast gears like this tool in the video. A big winch motor could pop off the lug nuts with the electric motor already built in but it would be too heavy to use without a stand to hold it up, a smaller one could be used after taking out the motor and replacing it with a shaft and a hand crank, as could a bigger one without the motor.

Hey Gordon i know you have a Detroit 60 series i would like to talk to you about trouble shooting my fuel prime issue i have new hoses from the tank to the pump along with a new pump and still cant get it to pull from the tanks it will run fine if i put the in hose to the pump in a bucket of fuel
@GordonRobertsonDIY5 жыл бұрын
I wonder if a fuel line from one of the tanks is sucking air. Maybe you can put some air pressure to the tank and see if the suction line leaks fuel or put a vacuum pump on the fuel line that goes to the fuel pump, like a vacuum brake bleeder maybe?
@wisemantrucker.s53375 жыл бұрын

Yup 56:1 is the ratio. Most of the torque multipliers have a multiplication ratio equal to the torque ratio because they are sell independently of its reaction arm. In this case the reaction arm is built into the tool and sold in one piece. Thus, the multiplication ratio (from the planetary assembly) is not equal to the torque ratio. "Isaac Newton’s third law dictates that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. When applied to torque tools, this basically means when something spins one way, something else has to spin the other way to equal things out. This is a pain for our line of work because we want all the torque we are applying to be used for loosening the bolt, and not be lost in some 17th century physics void called a torque reaction. The solution is the reaction arm, which stops the annular against a reaction point and absorbs the torque reaction, allowing our equipment to work". Formula for calculating area of the stud = (π x ØStud2)/4 Formula to calculate shear force = Reaction force/Area of stud.
