That's a pretty big swarm. I hope they wintered over well. Fortunately, the swarms I was able to get the last couple years have wintered over pretty well so far.

I haven't checked them this season but I think I saw a few around the yard today on this nice day we had. I am really praying for them to pull through!

That was awesome to watch! I'm sorry you got stung though. Was that two different bunches of bees or was that the same bunch that flew away?

I think it was just one big swarm with one queen. I only ever found one queen cell in the hive I think they split from...so even though there was two clumps on the tree, I think they were all following one queen.
