Its interesting that dresses from the 1970s or 1980s are considered "vintage".

Those are beautiful. The color on that first was stains, not intentional. Just needs a good dry cleaning. But its absolutely beautiful.

I really enjoy seeing you try on the dresses and your commentary. I, too, thought the first dress was amazing on you. The dress with the cut off sleeves was beautiful with all that beading. A seamstress would be able to finish off those edges and make a fabulous sleeveless or cap sleeve dress. Please continue making these videos. Those dresses deserve to make another bride happy, either as is, or restyled.

All polyester dresses can be Laundered, older dresses could be remade into confirmation gowns, christening dresses, , lace bllouses, skirts, , Hobby Bobbins has a channel where she restores vintage wedding gowns.

I love that modern dress with the detachable train. So beautiful. I’m not into flashy stuff. $25 is a steal. However it’s not like I’m getting married soon - I’ve been married 53 years 😂

How do you know when theyre ready to harvest? This first try, we have 15 or 20 growing in the garden, and they seem "sooo close." I have heard some sources say the stems should be brown, but im skeptical. We cut a good sized one last week, and when my wife cut it open, there was the faintest hint of a fresh cucumber smell. We weren't sure about it, so we fed it to the chickens. After picking, how long do you typically put them up in the garage to cure?

Wow, first dress is stunning on you. I love your wedding dress videos. You and your mom have a gift for finding the most beautiful dresses. Why brides aren’t scooping these up instead of paying a fortune for new dresses I don’t know.

Yes I love vintage wedding dresses. Currently my favorites decades are the 30s, 80s and 90s. I love a subtle puffy long sleeve dress and elegant, modest design.

So i have used lug style salsa jars. And the lug stlye classico jars. Plus, i reused the ball type lids.. if it seals, it seals if it doent it doesn't. If it dient reprocess it or refrigerate or freeze.

The thing is.. commercial companies canned in those jars. So why can't we?? Yes, yes, lids blah blah blah.. but some of the classico jars fit regular mouth lids and rings, and we are told as they clutch thier pearls "you can't can, in those jars, especially pressure can"

The first one almost looks stained. The second one looks like 1981-2. It is ABSOLUTELY reflective of Diana’s gown! The fourth one looks like a late ‘80s, early ‘90s Jessica McClintock design.

I know this video is 3 years old but I went to search for using pasta jars to can. For about 4 months I started making my new puppy all homemade food. I get chicken and boil the threw the bones back into the broth for chicken bone broth. I put the hot broth into the jars and popped the lids on them and left them to cool on my stove before refrigeration. All the sudden I heard pop pop pop pop. I was searching for how to store them and how long the broth will last. The cans of broth are taking up too much room in fridge. I wondered can I now take them out of fridge and store them at room temp? It has a layer of chicken fat as secondary seal as well. The lids are all still popped in.

Great question. No you won't be able to put them on the shelf the way you've canned them right now. You should dump the cans out back into a pot and bring the broth back to a boil. Then pour it back into the jars and either pressure can or water bath can the broth. If you don't have a canner at all then you just need a large pot...put a few towels in the bottom of it, place the jars on the towels and then fill the pot up with sink water until it covers the jars by 2 inches. Bring that all to a full rolling boil and leave it boiling....most people will say for 3 hours. I would say for at least 2 hours. The canning process is more than just making the lid pop down, the boiling step pushes air out of the jar which is how it becomes shelf stable. Most bacteria can't grow in the absence of oxygen. There's a lot more science to it than that I'm sure but that's my rudimentary understanding.

@@thissideofthefirmament Thanks for that information! I will do that per your instructions. I diy my dogs food and go through 70 or 80 pounds of chicken a month so I try not to waste any part of the bird lol. Thanks for taking the time to let me know or else I would have wasted all that hard work! Thanks girl!
