Only a month after setting up my Damaree Split (at a time where there may have been 20-30 lbs of honey on the hive, I am now pulling off more than 125lbs. See how I maintain the hive and test honey for harvest.

This series has been extremely valuable and informative for me. Thanks for explaining so well what and why you do particular steps. I really appreciate the initial video as well as the follow ups to show how things progress after the initial manipulation. I live near St. Louis MO and and going to attempt a Demaree split this year thanks to your great instructions!

Second box down a bit more moisture eh but still okay. I have taken 1 frame of honey from my bee’s last year and it was capped on just one side blank on the other. I have a large pot for hives and I’m just trying to split hives from a package and a nuc too 100 hives. Had 17 last year then came the bear. We shall see how many I have at the end of this year. It’s amazing how many hives you and others keep. Cheers

After destroying the queen cells could the colony still swarm and leave the original colony “queenless” and without any queen cells?
@rn-kf1ib
awesome video as usual.. quick question. since the honey suppers were cured and ready to be harvested why not just shack the bees off the frames and harvest the honey?
