I think one of the scarier things about Tesla which is kind of understated, is just how monstrously high his attack power was. The one time he actually landed a single clear PPP attack when he teleported (all other times were either blocked or mitigated by the shield), he completely blew Beelzebub across the arena and left him covered in wounds with significant internal injuries that even the major gods were concerned by. Take into account this is the god Hades couldn't kill when he tried to, as the vessel of Satan, he's naturally far from frail. In terms of the most damage inflicted from a single attack, it's easily up there just below the killing techniques of each round, and he was throwing punches with that much power every single time he struck, hundreds of times. If he'd taken on any other God who didn't have an ultimate defense like the vibration shield, he may very well have man-handled them between his instant movement and extreme force, even with the setup time to achieve his full output.

Easily one of my Top 3 fights in the entire manga. Both Tesla and Beel had such memorable personalities and abilities, and the music tracks fit their moments perfectly. Thank you greatly for this mountain of hard work, and I hope to see more glorious anime/manga battle edits in the future! Ngl Tesla's death had me bawling my eyes out all over again. I legitimately do feel like he should have won - not because of how likeable he is, but because Tesla has the most thematic reason for winning (humanity's continued progress means that humans no longer need the gods to mold our environment and create the best world for us, we can do that ourselves now with how advanced we are). The battle is still GOATed though, and the manga's Tesla is shockingly not very changed from the IRL Nikola Tesla himself. Glad that they did such a genius visionary justice in that regard.

I think the biggest thing there is that, as humanity moves forward, we’ll stumble and fall, sometimes we’ll fail. But even in death, Tesla’s final words were reminding everyone that failure is not the end- get back up, try again, keep progressing. Go one step further than yesterday.

Agreed, Tesla is easily my 2nd favorite Einherjar. But the skills and dynamics here on pretty much on point the whole fight, I can't really hate. Round 9 didn't really follow this up IMO, so I hope Round 10 can achieve the same quality as this epic match.

And truthfully, while I enjoyed Leonidas vs Apollo, can't disagree with you cuz this fight was as hype as it can get. I hope round 10 can pull out a good one and I anxiously await for the day we see Simo Hayha and Grigori Rasputin fight as well.

@@tobluetoblack well said completely agree with you, the apollo/leonidas fight was ok but i didnt like the way they portrayed leonidas at all, i mean he's an ancient spartan smoking and wearing papaya shirt yelling "YoU DamN GoD" every second panel, and I didn't like apollo because he gets more women than i do. I actually cried when Tesla lost and gave his speech.

Tesla definitely has the strongest Volundr. It does so much. Unlike the other Volundr’s, which were basic weapons, this one actually generates power.

Like Raiden’s Volundr allowed him to control his muscles, or Jack’s allowed him to turn anything he touched into a divine weapon, but compared to those, Tesla’s displays way more visible power to the point where people think he’s using “magic”.

@@isaiaholat3293 Lu Bu had a power, his was "Shield-breaker", no defensive armament could stop his spear, any armor would be shattered, no matter it's strength or the difference in how he hit the armor. Not super ideal, but no more so than Heracles who had a modular club that cursed and ate at his own body for not very strong results overall. Adam's was never covered, but it's theorized the Volund would have been capable of adjusting shape, size and density in line with any changes Adam did with his body. Reiginlief's name translates to "Power-Trace". As such, it likely could have changed shape to suit Adam's body if he changed his physical mass with his own Divine Reflection (like he did when he turned his arm into claws in the flashback). Sasaki.....eh, not much there, it can reform if shattered without losing any strength (Qin's could too, but Alvitr was still damaged afterwards whereas Hrist was uninjured). Also, don't forget, Tesla's Volund didn't give him magic powers; it just gave him a bunch of construction materials. It's actually kind of limited in scope, all it can do is produce materials in the form the user imagines, it was up to Tesla himself to turn that material into a weapon, to replicate the science from his own mind into the suit with the perfect material that didn't exist in his time.

It didn't help that the whole Volund concept only gives the user 1 main weapon, while the Spartan phalanx relies on at least 2 (spear and shield) with a 3rd (javelins) for longer-range engagements. Also didn't help that he was dressed in a modern t-shirt and pants rather than any armor: when your opponent's attacks are invisible to the eye and as fast as light, any speed advantage from ditching armor is null and void. Hell, they even mentioned that "the essence of the phalanx is a relentless, unceasing offensive charge", but the only offensive charges Leo made were "a few spins of his bladed shield", "a few swings of his mace transformation", and "a headbutt". Everything else was a response to Apollo's attacks or a preemptive defensive stance.

the fact that Tesla is such a remarkable person on his own and his principles still can't be shaken in anyway is amazing in the fight if Tesla would've had even a little more planning on how he would attack and defend and his technique he would definetly have won. By using physics he would've brought down a god and not just any god but Beelzebub. Truly a remarkable person in the history of mankind.

While nikola tesla did not invent half these things shown obviously to add to the fight and fiction I really liked that there were snippets of truth in what was going on. However the gravity one was interesting, not because nikola tesla had anything to do with contibutions to gravity, (in fact he envisioned they were vibrations which was proven wrong but also ionic considering he was versing someone who made vibrations) the idea behind gravity producing very fast acceleration is almost true. As an example if someone were in space and a planet someone appeared in from of them. They would go from 0 acceleration up to however massive that planet is and how fa they are from it. So theoretically it is possible to instantly produce and acceleration up to massive speeds. Also in this situation the person would feel no acceleration as all the particles in their body is moving at once which is sense makes you feel nothing. Now on earth there is air which could mess this up also I didn't see him summon any gravity and it also only affected him and blah blah blah but it is a cool concept.

I really thought he was going to used his 4th teleport, the one that kills him and the Valkyrie to teleport in the dame coordinate/space baal zebub is in, so their bodies would join together like all those failed teleporting experiment and that would have killed not only him and the Valkyrie but also bal, some of jis body would get really messed up along side some organs
