He's the only human ever in history to say that he defeated Estarossa, Meliodas, and Zeldris, greanted Mael was Estarossa but no knew at the time, but Escanor still has that credit to his name. What touches us the most are the flames of his heart. As a person For his friends. For his love. As much as he is unrequited As much as she is unrequited Till the end, he wishes that Merlin finds the person that she loves and who loves her with all the magnitude. He dies standing tall as a Man of Heart and Fire.

A human with the power of an archangel and yet he was the most humble of all in the series, his heart was full of darkness and sadness yet his soul burned as bright as the sun itself, he would die for his team and he literally did in order to save the world, from being a skinny barkeep to a hulking monster he stole all of our hearts, when i heard that tristan (meliodas son) had named his horse escanor in the movie I had nearly cried, RIP the seventh and most powerful lion sin of pride... I honestly love watching this final battle, just to see Escanor, everyone else stands so still and motionless. But he glows, I'm sure they knew that the budget was tight, but they dumped as much of it as they could into Escanor, a man glowing like the sun, the fading orange glow descending below the horizon. Those final moments of his life, were filled with Pride. Not for himself, but for his friends. In that massive body was an equally large heart that was gold, un-smeltable even from his own strength. He truly believed in his friends, and he decided that they would lead better lives. The Reason why Britons can't deal with heat, Escanor hasn't been around to get them used to it.
