Lovely Build as usual and I love the way you narate the work you are doing. To be fair, the registration may have been allocated to another car completely different car, rather than a re build as a right hooker.

Hi Dan, I've built the Patrick Snijers winning M3 from the 1988 Manx Rally. Luckily I was there watching that fantastic rally. The Beemax kit is of course based on a track car so the ride height is too low for a tarmac rally car. I modified this to raise it a little. The oil cooler and extinguisher are also removed from the underside. The side exit exhaust sits where the bottle is. These cars ran 17" wheels on the rear and 16" on the front. Not so obvious but KMP do an excellent set of these 5 spoke Speedlines that are much more accurate. It looks so much better. I've also added the spot lamps to the front bumper (from an Escort Cossie kit)

The rally boxings do have higher suspension than the track boxings, the track cars are very slammed as all the top of the tyre is inside the arches, but in some pictures the ToughMac cars is a mm higher again. I do have set of the KMP wheels for another build at some point. But regardless, thanks for watching, and hopefully there will a few more Irish tarmac cars in the future from me.

Dan What cases are you using to store your MK2 Escorts on the shelves behind you ? Are you doing a C! model transkit ?
