There lies the problem Folk are too fixated on labels “ king of dancehall “ queen of dancehall “ rather than simply focusing on the artist producing high quality music and putting in a sustained professional performance Beenieman new album has some good reggae tracks but it’s let down by some songs with artists that’s got too much explicit lyrics and profanity What’s a 50 year old mixing up with explicit lyrical content That being said it’s better than the garbage artists thats oversaturated the industry

Most refreshing Beenie Man interview/podcast. I agree with his point of view on Dancehall. The industry will never give us the credit because they didnt make or establish it. It establish itself. So they pattern it and establish a pattern Genre(s). Afrobeat could never out do Dancehall. Infact afro beat already start water down and amapiano step up while dancehall still on top with no credit.
