Man, you're a lifesaver. This worked for me. I pasted a button on the door and the beeping stopped. A technician (I'm in India) quoted INR 3300 ($40) to take the motherboard out and repair it. I'm glad I searched for your video on KZbin. It was solved at no cost and in 5 mins.

Do you know if you can adjust the timer delay before the beeping? Now I at least know how to defeat it, if mine had that type of switch. My switch seems hidden. Thanks!

Why would you do that? I guess find the speaker wire and cut it. Mine was in the top of the frige but many are behind the ice maker.

I don't think cutting out the speaker for the alarm is a good idea, that's your lifeline... That being said I'm about to go crazy, we have a fridge with a similar type.. Both sides are closing like normal, not sticky..

There must be a sensor of some type. Google where the sensor is located. Maybe the sensor has a little jelly stuck on it! Let me know what you find.
