Love this as well! Diaphragm valves are great because you can use a pneumatic actuator for automation instead of the hand crank. We used these at the food processing plant I worked at.

Can you tell more about needle valves, what are good for?

Hi! thanks for the video. I was wondering, what type of valve would be suitable for oxygenating the wort (with an oxygent bottle) on its way to the primary fermenter?. Cheers :)

Do you prefer the squeeze lock or the pull lock? It looks like the squeeze lock has a lot more lock points between open and closed for throttling flow.

I do like squeeze a little better. However no butterfly valve is designed for good flow control, just a strong OFF/ON. Gate, Diaphram, Pin, Ball..valves are all better at throttling flow. Cheers!

Total novice here. Why do you not want to use ball valves for product, I think you said only water and gas. Is it just size related or something? Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.
@michellekneupper55506 жыл бұрын
Product can get behind that opening in the ball and stay there when it is closed, so they are not considered sanitary. With water, and especially gas, this isn't a problem.
