Steve Holmgren Not true. Cheap tequila tastes like cigarettes. More accurately, like the cup of random alcohol everyone put out their cigarette butts in. Good tequila, on the hand, actually tastes good (and even smells good- you can smell the cigarette butts in cheap tequila). Now, cheap vodka tastes like rubbing alcohol. Good vodka, much less so. I have yet to taste expensive versions of either.

+Steve Holmgren Steve is right to an extent. There is a bottom of the barrel stuff like Jose Cuervo Gold that is crap and is terrible and not even real tequila. Then there is over priced stuff that is really not even that good, like patron. And in the middle is your really good stuff. If you pay $20 for tequila, you're gonna get some good stuff.
