The way Mr. Sivanandhan was so casual in his description of the wars, bomb blasts, and death shows how much violence he must have witnessed during his time in service. He is very respectful in his description but seems very detached. It shows how being in a position like his for so many years really changes you and hardens you as a human being. Much respect for all civil servants. 🙏

Psychopaths normally have a negative connotation. However if they align in interests of society they do wonders. Top surgeons, decorated civil servants and any high risk jobs come with similar mental traits. As you have stated of his 'detachment', when shit hits the ceiling they have the rare quality to remain cool as a cucumber.
