I'm from Nepal. My grandfather (17 years when he enlisted) and father served in the Indian Army. My grandfather fought in the Second World War, and he told me many war stories with various levels of energy and enthusiasm. He recalls those sleepless nights filled with hunger, fear, and zeal for victory. Although he has mixed feelings about the war because many of his close friends died just before him; some were so young and had just joined the army, and some came after a vacation or marriage. He sometimes laments, saying I should have died there. Those moments hunt him in his dream. Other than that, he had a great time cracking jokes with his colleagues, doing physical training exercises, and playing games. My father has also fought multiple wars against Pakistan. Both of them were from Gorkha rifles. Despite wanting to follow their footsteps, they wouldn't let me join the army because they knew what a soldier's life was like. Having fought so many wars, both of them agree on the fact that war should never be the solution.

Now that we have two separate countries, we can learn to co exist. Lets not accuse each other and try to form a common ground. I like watching your podcast as you give many positive insights into the issues.

I'm Pakistani, and I appreciate your recognition that when civilians from different backgrounds meet, it's usually in a friendly civilized manner. Personally, I feel a strong connection with Indians, Bengalis, and others who share the same language and culture. While I do have love for all nations, connecting with my own race is naturally easier and fun. I hope that as time goes on and we share more information, the divisions created by past generations can be eliminated. It's crucial that we raise our children with values that promote universal love and understanding. I'm a follower of Sadhguru, and I'm truly impressed by his teachings on inclusivity. I believe this concept should be introduced at the elementary school level to build a more harmonious future.

One of the best Military Podcasts I have ever listened to from all over the world. Seeing a warrior spirit and recognizing how much of my own mindset resembles his was mind blowing. The way you let him feel his emotions fully without interruption was a class act, Ranveer.. Thank you so much for your service Captain Chow.. ❤

I had tears, while listening to this. Coming from a military family, I had only heard stories of wars, since my grandfather passed away in the indo-china war. Understand the feeling, I feel what cap. Chow has to say. We all are so safe and sound in our lives, bcoz someone like captain chow was there taking bullets captured tortured for our safety and peace. Happy independence day. Jai hind.

Wow Ranveer… well done . It’s so nice to see that you started this series. We are more interested in these heroes’ lives instead of Bollywood’ fake lives. Actually these actual heroes should be made famous in our country. They should be called upon in the reality shows, inaugurations, schools , colleges, universities, Big B schools.
