Sanathana Dharma (Hinduism) is very simple yet complicated. The reason is that there is no single path to attain Moksha (Enlightenment). It is simply a way of life. In simple words, Hinduism is like Democracy. You can do anything you want unless you don't hurt anyone. You can even be an atheist and still be called a Hindhu. It's simple but yet complicated :)

As for us who reside in India, I think it's more natural since it's our everyday and yet we r always picking up some new scraps of knowledge through someone and adding to the narrative we have gathered over the years. It certainly will be a much better experience if u would visit the country for such a thing as supposed to being isolated from the culture that will help you understand it better. It's certainly more of something to experience than just reading in theory

When I first learned of the Naga and Aghori Baba's it blew my mind. I began going to Aarti several times a week, doing Puja for Durga and Shiva, reading as many Gita and Purana texts etc. I've learned just as much from this channel than I have from the Brahma Baba who runs the temple I go to. We, the so called “Hindus” are in the same boat as you. We are ignorant about the deeper knowledge of our culture because of the invaders and the forced conversions. Our parents and forefathers tried their hardest to hold on to Sanatan Dharma. But as the Gurukuls and Gurus and temples got wiped out, the knowledge was shallow and Sanskrit also got removed so to understand the Bhagwan Gita, I had to search high and low for an English translated version. (This was 50 years ago!). Now we are so lucky that the Knowledge is made more available, thanks to the Gurus like Swami Chinmayananda and Brabhupada, and many more now. And Thank God for the internet and social media.

The Greeks used the term mythos as a people's story:where they came from and their heroes and values. Myth as a term denoting falsehood is a modern idea. I prefer Joseph Campbell's definition as truths that can best be conveyed by storytelling. India is utterly absorbing. I've been learning its culture and history for decades,and I could spend lifetimes. I still have so much to learn. Dr. Vaneet is awesome!

But world would needs solid proofs not just talking to accept such big claims which he clearly didn't give
@tatsavitar72812 жыл бұрын
@@parasnagshatty9673 this is base less because without reading you are saying this. But the detailed description of Mahabharata and Valmiki Ramayana talks about whatever city place forest river, ramsetu, mount kailash all exist till today. But only becasue the lord Maicaulay used Roman tactics to use Indian to educate in their land then let them return and manipulate indan education and politics in their biased way from 1860 till today as it happened in Germanic tribes after three genreation they forgot their true history and strated calling it Mythology. Same has Caused you to not read but to negate anything without any of your personal effort. My simple suggestion is to have guts to read as everything is available in National language if you are not familiar with Sanskrit and find by yourself. By the way as a physicist my favorite Vedanta is Brihadaranyaka, mandukya upanishads and Yoga Vashistha also Patanjali Yoga Sutras.

@@tatsavitar7281 if i had to read all the stuff then what's the point of this podcast..? And why do people watch "educational " videos in the first place if they had to read by themselves..atleast give some credible sources from where we can read about what u are talking about...and just a humble question for you So India has this immense collection of knowledge of science for thousands of years we not a single person from india was able to interpret the vedas and devise scientific knowledge...but then a complete foreigner gets hold of this "knowledge" in a language completely alien to him, translates all the stuff and then interprets all the scientific knowledge their was and makes name of his and his country...and not just him according to most guests on trs most of the western scientists basically devised their theories with only help of Vedas.. right..? What a joke have we made of our rich history ? And currently we are doing nothing than reminiscing about our glorious past..well good luck with that
@tatsavitar72812 жыл бұрын
@@parasnagshatty9673 look brother why do you think we didn't had knowledge. but the way western people use is full of materialism. but our way of using vedas was spiritualism to create a way of life that will lead us to mukti from mithya or maya the illusion. But according to Shastras there are three aspects of universe let me explain as you raised this question it is First came Sound or mantra, then it created tantra or system this system created yantra a device this universe as manifestation. So in everything mantra tantra and yantra exist So as per our methodology we used highest one Mantra. It is on that basis we had our devices and many things. Then we created those tantra to formulate yantra or machine like city of Mohanjodaro. It's architecture is not any just a sophisticated sevage system but a whole city was so much precise same is in all ancient cities like ujjain, Varanasi and Vijayanagar etc.. now similarly you can find a wootz steel in India which is very famous in the world but none can make it today as britishers have banned this product to sell their steel. It is the best steel in the world. all else you know mathematics, ayurveda, shalya chikitsa all have indian origin. Now question comes what is your eligibility to know all our knowledge without putting any effort as you want. As krishna said in last chapter of Gita do never tell the secret to the one who is not eligible.

Thanks a lot Ranveer for bringing this to light. I am an engineer and a student of science. What I have discovered after learning about our own culture was that our people were very scientific. It's sad that we have lost all of these in the countless centuries of invasion and destruction. Bringing back our culture and civilisation now more than ever holds immense value! Our students should learn about these things vs learning countless texts in our psuedo - western culture oriented history textbooks.

You should bring Sadhguru on your show, man. So many westerners have seen the truth inherent in hindu teachings and is questioning their own cultural ways of doing things because of him. He also sparked a campaign, "Free TNTemples" which aims to bring the temples (of Tamil nadu, as it is, but the entire country in due time) out of government oversight and into the hands of the devotees themselves. Right now he got his hands full with Conscious Planet initiative as well as many other programs for the betterment of India and indeed entire human species. He'd also be able to cut to the bone of the subject of this upload from a spiritual perspective, both naming why it is as it is, what needs to be done to reversethat developement and what kinds of consequenses it will have if nothing is done to revive the 'mythos' of Santana Dharma.

for the longest time I've been intrigued with Hinduism and the stories regarding your Gods. though i try not to refer to it as mythology as its a religion that people still practice today. important to remember Greek, Norse, and Egyptian mythologies are called mythologies because they're dead religions.
