I think one of the important tip to share for the tourists, especially tourists from the US, Canada and UK or EU countries, they should always bring their own tissue or toilet paper.. Malaysia did not commonly use a toilet paper but rather we just use water hose to clean afterwards. But, there is also public toilet that provide it and you can buy it before entering the toilet, It'll cost you like range from RM 0.20- RM 2.00 depends on the location. Yeah, I think that's just one tip from me.. I'm sure my fellow Malaysian are gonna share another useful tips for tourists and foreigners. Enjoy your time in Malaysia. 😁👍

As a fellow malaysian, this are my tips: 1. Bring your own toilet paper everywhere for the toilet. Wet wipes is also convenient. 2. Use sling bag if you are going to crowded places, like morning or night markets. 3. For women travellars, avoid using Grab late at night. Travel from 8pm to 10pm is safer. 4. Malaysian food is sometimes too spicy and hot for foreigners, drink lots of water. 5. You must try Roti Telur and Teh Tarik for breakfast. 6. Most Malaysian can speak basic english. Even the food hawkers. 7. Avoid using the public transportation during the peak hours - Malaysian office hours is from 8 am to 5 pm. Avoid using any LRT, MRT, bus around 7am to 9am and 4.30 pm to 7pm. The heavy traffic is insane especially in the big cities, like KL, Penang, Johore Bahru and Kuching.

Superb guide. A tip on getting cash in Malaysia - Some ATMs charge no fees and some are higher fees - I used the the ATM Fee Saver mobile app - it gave a list of the fee free and low fee ATMs in Malaysia. Also showed the withdrawal limits of the ATMs there for foreign card holders. Was very handy to save up on unnecessary expenses. Worth adding to your list!

Make friends with a local and see if they are willing to take you around their hidden spots especially for yummy 'locals-favourite' food. No TripAdvisor will be able to show you these hidden gems. Have fun in Borneo girls. If you're visiting Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, please visit Mari-Mari Cultural Village and the Sabah State Museum to learn more about the diverse culture in Sabah. I can't wait for Borneo vlogs. Stay safe. 💜

My advice when you travelling all around Malaysia is to try the state special food. Each state has their own special dish. One example is Laksa. Laksa Penang, Laksa Johor and Laksa Sarawak. All different. Try to engage the local and asked them about the signature food in that state. You will have the time of your life.

Thank you for showcasing our country. I like all your Raya experiences the most especially the bazaar and the open house bit. Cameron Highland also an eye opener of some places that I have yet visited. Most importantly you guys safely back home. Tips for others, please use public transport and grabs, car hopping with strangers need to be selective. Prepare to give up your diets and try our food as much as you can such as Nasi Lemak at Village Park in PJ, Rendang (anywhere you go) and Nasi Kandar at Pelita near KLCC or up north in Penang which is famous for. Have fun!

Enjoy the rest of your stay in Malaysia. Really missing home though. There is another tip that a lot of foreigners/tourists do not know, it is that most Malaysians are proficient in English. It is a huge advantage for them to make navigating around Malaysia easier. Although when it comes to rural areas, it can be difficult, but still. English is ultra-common here.

i think one of the most important thing to always be aware in malaysia is cultural sensitivity. malaysia is a hodgepodge of multiple races with different values and beliefs. predominantly malay muslims, malaysia is typically a conservative country which may be overlooked by the more open minded travellers.

In johor, Have Indian food in Kerala Restaurant.. Have Mee Rebus And Soto in Zainal's Place restaurant. Have Roti Canai / Roti telur at Roti Canai Bukit Chagar. Have roasted duck rice at Ya Wang in town and then buy kuih and desserts from hiap joo bakery nearby. Also, if u see a truck late at night that is brightly lit , laden with various raw ingredients , surrounded by tables and speakers blaring techno music, u should stop in and try LOKLOK. Basically they have various uncooked food on trays in the truck and u just walk around and choose your ingredients. Once ur done, u hand ur ingredients to the owner and ask him to cook it the best way for each ingredient (I usually ask them to deep fry everything but u can boil some stuff or steam them too) and ask them to put the chilli powder on it as soon as it comes out of the fryer.. Then grab a table (or share a table) and chow down! They also have different dipping sauces and sambals to add to the flavour.

Since you'll be coming to Borneo, assuming you''ll hit Kuching City first for the RWMF 2018, there are a few suggestion I really really really want you guys to do: F&B: 1. Try Kolok Mee - the best I ever taste is Kolok Mee Haji Saleh, Satok area. A should visit spot. 2. Laksa Sarawak - My favourite is Mom's Laksa 3. Kek Lapis (literally Layered Cake) - there are few famous shops selling it, my favourite would be Mira Cake House opposite waterfront, in a place called Boyan. 4. Try seafood at Topspot - there are quite a number of stalls there, but my favourite is stall no 25, you both MUST taste the delicious Soft Shell Crab Telur Masin (telur masin is a salted egg) don't let the name doubt you, you'll never regret it. Trust me on this >.< (ps: do note that all the above food are from my own preference, other opinion might differ ^^) Place of interest: 1. Sarawak Cultural Village - experience all how the locals live from our various tribes, all in one place. As this will be the same location for RWMF, might as well visit this place during that time. 2. Semenggoh Wildlife Centre - I personally never been here but I always suggest visitors to visit this place. lol. So far the feedback are always good. 3. Bako National Park - will involve lots of hiking. PLEASE wear shoes. Picturesque views. You guys wouldn't regret it. 4. Semadang Kayaking & Rafting - You guys can click on the link for details. www.semadangkayak.com/ . Kayaking along a clear river in Borneo. What else can I say, ~_~. 5. Jong's crocodile farm - as the name implies. Sarawak's nickname is Bujang Senang, coming from the name of the biggest crocodile ever caught. Can google this place to know more. 6. Sarawak River Cruise - A boat cruise along Sarawak River, dinner will be provided on the boat, depending on which package you get. Drop points are located along the Sarawak River, most popular is Waterfront point. 7. Puncak Borneo - Another picturesque location in Kuching. Google the image. Ugh dem feels. 8. Visit museums (if you're into these kind of things) - we have Sarawak Museum, Islamic Museum, Chinese Museum, Cat Museum, one largest museum in Sarawak is currently under construction, unfrotunately. 9. Pasar Minggu Satok - Weekend market at Kubah Ria. Selling hundreds of local products. Should visit if you have the time. 10. Local favourite chill spots in Kuching - Kuching waterfront, bing (famous local coffee shop), lepak at vivacity or spring, taman sahabat (friendship garden), Satok uptown (Friday night and Saturday night) 11. Serikin - a bit far out from the city. about 40 minutes to 1 hour driving, located at the border between Malaysia and Indonesia. Famous location for super duper cheap items. Same items that sell for hundreds in the city, selling for only a fraction of its price. If you bring along your haggle skills, might get a lot more cheaper price. Be extra cautious here for your belonging though. Wear something simple as it is hot as hell here. 12. (reserved) I know there're gonna be some location I miss. So I'm gonna leave this point here. If other Kuchingites have better ideas/locations, just hit this post up. (ps: all these locations are within Kuching city or just outskirt of Kuching City. There are other great locations outside Kuching that you should totally visit. Do let me know if you want to know more about them) Cheers to freedom. ^___^y

Over five months! You realise just how jealous I am? The most I do is three weeks. 100 Mbps is Megabits per second. Megabytes is one-eighth that, so 12½ MBps. Still a lot quicker than a lot of Australia. Australia is a first world country, Malaysia a second. Go figure. Wholeheartedly agree to eat. Makan makan makan! Kukup, just outside Johor Baru, is great for seafood. Singaporeans flock there. Kota Tinggi waterfalls might be a bit over-rated, but are worth a look if you're not crowded out by locals and Singaporeans. My best tip: Learn some of the language. Even if you butcher the pronunciation, it shows respect and shows you're trying. And that you aren't just a tourist with a list of things to see and do that need to be ticked off as you swoop in like seagulls. Ask the locals how they pronounce the names of things. It's also not a hipster challenge to find the weirdest or least visited places to eat. Next tip: Any foreign country will have customs different to your own. Learn them and respect them. YOU are a visitor in THEIR country. Remember that.

Oh wow you're going to Johor?? My hometown! Be sure to try Mee Rebus! If you do have time please stop by Mee Rebus House in Johor Bahru (you can find the shop in FB), my sister manages the place and it specialises in Mee Rebus..other Johor specialties are Nasi Beriyani Gam, Kacang Pool, Rojak Asma, Asam Pedas & Mee Bandung. Johor itself is huge and different districts have their specialty, for example if you go to Batu Pahat they have this dish called Mee Racun (literally translated as poisoned noodles). I recommend visiting Salahudin Bakery , it's Johor oldest bakery (100 years & counting) and Hiap Joo Bakery (banana cake is a must buy)..both located in Jalan Tan Hiok Nee in the city centre. Have fun exploring Johor!

In Malaysia, always use ‘Grab’ or ‘MyCar’ apps for transportations. Taxis are really really expensive and I expect taxis will charge even more for tourists ! A tip from a local here 😁

You guys are awesome! You're doing such a great job promoting Malaysia and I'm glad that you like it here. Malaysia is such a great place but not many people realize it and you have experienced Malaysia in a way that's more than most of the local people. You have made me feel very proud of our food and friendly people lol. I have never been to Borneo before, but I have heard great stories about their people and culture and I definitely will follow closely with your videos as a reference in future trip! P.S.: Not sure about youtube's policy, but will it be better if you split your videos to few parts at less than 10 minutes each so that most people can finish the whole video and maybe in any way could benefit your earning more?(Just my humble thought)

Hey friend ! Thanks for such a kind comment, we are just truly in love with Malaysia and the people out here .. such an ‘easy’ country to be travelling around, most importantly, very safe and no one has ever been rude to us here 🙏🏼

Girls... you must try food called "Kacang Pool". Basically it was made with chickpeas, blended with spices, eat with sunny side up egg and toast. You can search for this stall called "Kacang Pool Haji" located in Larkin Bomba. Quite near to the Larkin Bus Station if you travel by bus this Saturday. And also you should go to this stall called "Murtabak Majid" located in Kampung Kurnia. The Murtabak with cheese, ermm ermmm! 😁😁. Another famous food in Johor is Nasi Briyani Gam.

PRO TIP : Be friendly and talkative, and also (if necessary) be intriguing like both of you wonderful gurls! Just don't be shy to ask everything. Most of the Malaysian could speak English. No problem there. There is a proverb in Malaysia, which it literally means if you're shy to ask, you'll lost. A huge thanks to you guys who would like to make videos and have interest in our country. I couldn't thank more ! I appreciate everything you've done so far. This could be a stepping stone to those who are still wondering about Malaysia. On top of all, #CHEERSTOFREEDOM !

Borneo which part? Sarawak-for cultural place Sabah-for nature, adventures and beaches In Sabah got two airport with different places. One in Kota Kinabalu and another one in Tawau. Kota Kinabalu you should go straight to Kundasang to see a mountain like in Switzerland/New Zealand. Tawau have a very very very nice beach and the best among the best island in the world. Try it.

if you're going to Johor Bahru, don't forget to have bigggggg breakfast at "Medan Selera Plaza Larkin" it's near the Larkin Bus Station.. It's full of awesome food you should try out such as Mee Rebus Johor, Soto, Lontong, Kacang Pool(addictive!), Asma Rojak, Pisang Goreng, and sooo much more. At Kampung Kurnia, there's a Murtabak stall (Murtabak Majid Special Cheese No. 1) you should try out Murtabak Daging Special..It's super delish! layers of roti +minced meat, onion and eggs..the cheese version is also super nice.. At ZZ Restaurant, for breakfast you should try-out their Mee Rebus Tulang (Bone Narrow)

Muar, Johor is my "kampung" you must go there and try Nasi Ambeng, laksa johor and Mee Bandung, those are the signature dish in Johor. and while you are in Johor Bahru.. well, it is like KL 2.0 😆 there are Cats Cafe, the JDT Football Club, Forest City, Legoland, shopping malls.. and dont forget to try Restoran Kacang Pool Haji at JB.. and there is a place called Tanjung Piai located in Pontian Johor where you can stand at the southernmost point of Peninsular Malaysia 👍🏼 and if you want to enjoy waterfall, you can go to Gunung Ledang in Tangkak, Johor. (dont go there during wekends) . that is all from me 😆
