I understand the Ariana comparison because of the breathy “baby voice” sound, but once you hear that Bath accent Pink has, it’s very hard to unhear, I wouldn’t ever have drawn that comparison myself. Still, I know y’all didn’t mean shade! It’s just a big thing that female artists get made to compete a lot *or* men don’t listen to enough music by women, to be able to compare them to more than the same 3/4 artists (take a shot every time a female rock singer is called “the next Hayley Williams 💀💀) Regardless love y’all and always nice to see you enjoying some tunes, would def recommend more PinkPantheress (she produces most of her own beats, in that garage/liquid dnb style, and was independent until this debut!). And, more female artists in general *would* always be nice to see, no doubt :)) (If ur interested in more Pink, “Break It Off”, “Where You Are ft. WILLOW”, and “Reason” might be up your street🤘👍

It’s natural, if they don’t listen to many female artists, to compare based on what they know, like how they drew the genre comparison to dnb straight away even though it’s not dnb (but it is similar, just more liquid/garage). Now as a woman… I get what you mean, and agree😅 But I don’t think they meant to imply competition, just referencing what they know!
