Easy lads, trust me this is DnB....and People really need to stop referring to it as EDM....its an insult to the genre! Fred again makes all his beats...plays piano etc, he lives around the corner from me...very humble guy. Also Ren did a retake of this in his Fred Again mash up you reacted to previously...respect lads from UK.

I've loved drum and bass/jungle since I was 16, 30 years ago.
@ResurrectTheChainsmoker7 ай бұрын
This is definitely Drum and Bass. It sounds very different and distinct because of Fred Again's unique sound design. This is common in most genres of Electronic Dance Music. Especially DnB. Artists like Alix Perez, dBridge, Imanu & Machinedrum are good examples of people who create unique tracks and albums.

Drums and bass are in most music. This genre shows them off and the producers make it to reflex whatever feelings they might have at the moment they sit at the desk. If you reeeeeallly want to know if it's DNB... learn to count beat timings 😂 if you guys hear something around 170bpm it's almost certainly drum and bass ❤

I'm hearing this everywhere at the minute. Went to a bar for dinner the other night and it came on. Only after looking through my dnb folder I found I actually bought it recently. I buy more music I can keep track of when I get myself on beatport. Such a tune though

The Nia Archives remix of this is 🔥 Drum and bass is faster (around 175 bpm) Dubstep is usually around 140 bpm EDM is around 125 - 132 bpm. Hope this helps

DnB and Dubstep are both sub genres of EDM. EDM does not fall within certain BPM ranges. EDM is simply music created with electronic elements.

Dnb or drum and bass is a derivative of jungle music but faster bpm anywhere from 130 to 160bpm House is slower bpm and can be easily looked up and typical square best pattern so hitting on the 4 Techno is typical faster again but also 160 above bpm, trance is most famous but Paul Okenfold So many edm labels. Since the90s their so many sub genres just like hip hop

So to try and give you a simple breakdown of edm differences will be quite difficult in 2024 due to the melting pot over the last 30+ years. For DnB it's relatively simple. 99% of the time, it's a break beat and rarely a 4x4. It's at 170bpm roughly with a few bpm each side as opposed to most of the other genres which are slower. Due to the melting pot dnb has many sub genres which would take me too long to define right here but for all intents and purposes I'd put this under the liquid sub genre of dnb. It's a deep genre, boys, and it will take you much longer to get your head round the different styles than most other genres. For now, if it's about 170 bpm it's dnb and that's all you need to know

Fred Again. is pretty true “House Music”. Influences from EDM, but with “breaks” instead of “drops.” Definitely some Jungle influence in the drums, which suddenly in 2024 Jungle drums are showing up on hip hop and pop tracks so it’s not even unique anymore. But y’all should check out more Fred. Had the pleasure of watching him open for Kendrick in the fourth row at Lolla last summer… life changing shit. Totally opened my mind to an entire different realm of music and art. He’s got “Rumble” with Future and it might be both of their best tracks. Hope this helps!
