Ich höre dieses in vieler Hinsicht besondere Musizieren unter Tränen. „Vor der Zeit gestorben“ - ein Prädikat(?) für leider sehr viele Künstler:innen, deren Werk noch viel länger hätte währen können und „sollen“. Es bleibt nur das Gedenken in großer Dankbarkeit.

Rest in peace. This very concert I enjoyed live, and I was in sorrows Lars Voigt would make it. He played so subtly, enlightening, yet one could observe how exhausting the performance was for him. I will remember this inspiring man. Thank you for the music.

Was für eine Freude, dass Lars Vogt uns zum Abschied diese phantastische Aufnahme hinterlassen hat, gemeinsam mit der hinreißend dirigierenden Karina Canellakis. Kraftvolle Virtuosität im Dienst einer unglaublichen, liebevollen Zartheit im Anschlag, von Anfang bis Ende, wie ich sie noch keinmal vorher gehört habe. Er macht aus Beethovens Musik eine einzige Liebeserklärung an das Leben, das uns geschenkt ist.

Schoen gesagt. Lars Vogt hat uns so viele schoene Aufnahmen hinterlassen. Viele kann man hier auf YT anhoeren und ansehen. So ein toller Kuenstler und wirklich netter Mensch. Es bricht einem das Herz. Moege er in Frieden ruhen.

Absolutely beautiful interpretation. The whole performance is simply amazing. I have never heard the coda of the second movement performed so touchingly as this. And the pathos-laughter juxtaposition of the third movement is just incredible here. Thank you so much for capturing this beautiful performance for posterity. What a loss. RIP

Rest in peace, Maestro. Thank you for your art! I just realized that this was recorded in April of this year. What a remarkable human being. He continued sharing his brilliant art while knowing full day the progression of the disease that would ultimately take his precious life and deprive us of his immense art.

Einfach nur fantastisch! Wundervoll musiziert, ich liebe dieses Klavierkonzert ganz besonders. Lars Vogt scheint ein überaus sensibler Künstler gewesen zu sein ... Ich kannte ihn bis vor Kurzem nicht. Sein früher Tod ist eine Tragödie für seine Familie und ein Verlust für die Musikwelt. Dort, wo er jetzt ist, klingt die Musik noch viel süßer und es existiert kein Schmerz ...

Un grand pianiste, certes, qui nous a quittés bien trop jeune. Mais ici, une cheffe d'orchestre de grande dimension, vraisemblablement promise à un grand avenir. Jolie, d'abord, ce qui ne gâche rien, et d'une classe de direction qui fait souvent penser aux plus grands. Elle est à féliciter autant que le regretté soliste.

Wie wäre es unserem großen Bruder Ludwig wohl ergangen, hätte er dieser Wiedergabe beigewohnt? Er wäre nach vorne gestürmt, hätte jeden einzelnen Musiker umarmt, Karina geküßt und wäre danach vor Lars auf den Boden gesunken. Satz I war mein Diplomstück. Ich erkannte Vieles, zeigte Vieles, doch was Lars Vogt erkennt und zum Ausdruck zu bringen weiß, das ist wie Flächenpinslerei im Vergleich zu einem van Gogh oder Paul Klee. In tiefer Dankbarkeit. TRV.

Oh, this! My favorite Beethoven Piano Concerto! I would run out of superlatives. Frankfurt & Canellakis were flawless and Vogt brought out every little nuance that endears me so to this piece, Bravo! Superb! Sublime! Wonderful! Wunderbar!!!!

Wunderschöne und detaillierte Aufführung dieses perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit klarem doch warmherzigem Klang des technisch fehlerlosen Soloklaviers sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt echt schön und auch tiefempfunden. Die intelligente und geniale Dirigentin leitet das ausgezeichnete Orchester im gut analysierten Tempo und mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Wundervoll vom Anfang bis zum Ende!

Lamento mucho el fallecimiento del excelente pianista Lars Vogt el pasado 5 de septiembre 2022, ha sido una gran pérdida. * Oh! Magnificent performance by Lars Vogt and the entire Orchestra. Note that the orchestra uses period metal wind instruments, natural, without pistons. I am very sorry for the death of the excellent pianist Lars Vogt on September 5, 2022, It has been a great loss.

How fabulously interesting that among an orchestra of standard-issue modern instruments, the trumpets and horns are the valveless instruments Beethoven would have known.

À 23.30 dans le largo, l'esprit de Beethoven et de tous les compositeurs et interprètes disparus nous survole, nous disant : - ne craignez rien ! nous sommes tous là, nous vous voyons... nous savons, nous voyons que vous écoutez, appréciez nos œuvres, nos interprétations, pour le plus grand plaisir de tous, vivants comme disparus ; pour la musique qui est éternellement vivante.
Ein Beispiel unserer Zeit: ein Ausnahmekünstler (Vogt) und eine mittelmäßige Dirigentin (immer wieder schlägt sie 4 im ersten Satz, absolut unnötig für das Orchester, störend und unmusikalisch, u.a.). Ein Mann mit dieser Mangel an Qualität wäre nie in Frage gekommen, mit Lars Vogt und dem tollem HR-Sinfonieorchester zu musizieren. Hoffentlich werden bald alle Künstlerinnen und Künstlern nach ihren Leistungen und nach ihrem Geschlecht beurteilt
