Unglaublich !

Superb interpretation. Measured and lyrical, with depth and precision. Perianes is one of today's most underestimated pianists (he should be among the greats), Andrés Orozco-Estrada has a tremendous career ahead of him, he is a conductor's conductor, and the hr-Sinfoniorchester needs no introduction, as musical and tight as you would wish an orchestra to be.

Conductor Andres Orosco-Estrada translates fully well with the magnificent emotions of the musical piece.

I've learned that Khatia Buniatishvili was supposed to play this performance of Beethoven's 4th concerto, and after she had to call her appearance off, Perianes came in to Frankfurt on very short notice. And he does a remarkable job! Stylistically on the point, brilliant, with a very nice lyrical touch. Better than any of Buniatishvili's performances, I have to say!

And I've been introduced to another fine pianist, thanks to these wonderful videos by the FRSO. A very enjoyable, idiomatic performance of what I think of as Beethoven's "Pastorale Concerto", as it is his most calming one, even while being innovative, especially in the slow movement.-
@harryhagan59372 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the 2nd movement is an interior dialog with Beethoven himself. Or maybe one with God.

Once more I need to chime in with an extremely positive impression. I'd not heard or heard of this pianist before, but I suppose he'll be heard from prominently in the future. But it helps that they chose this piece to play; familiarity does not breed boredom! The second set (movement) looks way forward to Franck's Symphonic Variations, and is one of the most heartbreaking musical expressions ever made, contrasting sharply with the enthusiasm of 1 and 3. ¡Enhorabuena, sen~ores!
