What a pianist. We were honored with his appearance here in Florida this winter. A stunning performer and played Chopin like he was his brother. Think of the thousands and thousands of hours of drills, practice and rehearsals to get to this level. And he’s no introvert; he addressed the audience before his pieces, providing some background and introducing himself, as if he wasn’t already in a packed hall of eagerly awaiting listeners.

This is an excellent performance, bravo! Very balanced, tragic, but beautifully, significant, but elegant, singing, flowing, very transparent, always bringing out the important lines. Excellent orchestral playing, wonderful support for the soloists, real chamber music. Beautiful dark sound and great phrasing. Seems that everybody shares the same idea about the piece. Excellent! An extra bravo for the sound engineers, camera and video director.

Not True! Come on! Second-rated Ax was 7th prize winner in weak Queen Elisabeth competition in 1972! Ax has thin colorless dry cold piano sound! Ax is so boring! More colorful beautiful piano sound than Ax=Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Radu Lupu Artur Rubinstein Vladimir Ashkenazy Grigory Sokolov! More genius than Ax=Sviatoslav Richter Solomon Cutner Grigory Sokolov Maurizio Pollini Stanislav Bunin Maria Grinberg Murray Perahia Alexei Lubimov Dinu Lipatti Stanislav Igolinsky! More powerful louder than Ax=Mikhail Pletnev! The Second Loudest ever was Lazar Berman! The 3rd Loudest was Erwin Nyiregyhazi! Horowitz his technique attack better than Ax's technique! Classical music is so sick business! We do not see this other areas like Nobel prize winners or tennis or Chess or Mathematics! No-one is claiming that world 1500th Best Ax is the greatest! Crazy world we are living when the crazy deaf people claiming weak colorless dry cold piano sound boring Ax is the greatest!

Klavierkonzert d-moll KV 466? Greetings from Bulgaria!
