Hi, everyone! You guys like Beethoven’s Symphony No.5? I think that it is one of popular Beethoven’s pieces. Fortunately, there is a piano arrangement by Liszt. Although this version is difficult, I think that he arranged it greatly. During practicing this piece, I was able to enjoy it. I hope that you guys like my performance! Thank you so much! Have a great day

There is a legend that Beethoven wrote this after he realised he was becoming totally deaf. At that moment he still could hear some sounds; he was eager not to give up his life. These famous 8 notes were inspired by knocking on the door. Not a human knocking, but a fate's knocking. Therefore, the symphony is sometimes called "fate knocking on the door" (at least in my country)

Can we all just appreciate this man's playing and the brilliance that was Beethoven. Beethoven writing these great works there will never be another. He wrote music that withstood the span of time, and this music will still go on and amaze and awe people as well many centuries from now as well. The awesomeness that was Beethoven music that was beyond it's time and is more so beyond our time these days as well.

The emotional fluctuation of this piece of music as it builds and unfolds, then rebuilds, is purely tantalizing. Such a stunning and moving work of audible art. With modern technology providing the ability to add this visual aspect, this has now created an even more incredible visual extension of an already glorious work of art. Absolutely brilliant visual addition! Very well done!

I just love how Liszt was just totally able to keep the 'Beethoven' aesthetic (ie you can tell this is a Beethoven composition even if you'd never heard it before) whilst still adding the Lizst 'virtuosity' in such a way that you know HE arranged it.... such a delicate balance, too much one way and its 'just another arrangement' too far the other and its no longer Beethoven x arranged by it just becomes a personal ego trip for the arranger. Aside from that simply being Liszt makes it a finger breaker for even a good pianist... to play it as well as Kasia you have to genuinely be a GREAT pianist...... loved it!!!
@spencerfinley3742
@spencerfinley3742 3 жыл бұрын
I agree, this piece is amazing! However, Liszt’s transcriptions of Beethoven’s symphonies are actually regarded by many academics as being the best available transcriptions of the symphony because they are able to effectively transport the feeling produced by the entire orchestra to the piano- they weren’t just meant to show off Liszt’s pianistic ability. Liszt didn’t intentionally make this a virtuoso piece to show off (he had actually retired from the concert stage for several years before starting the Beethoven transcriptions- thereby begging the question, why make a piece to show off technique if you aren’t showing off to anyone?); virtuosity was simply necessary to make the transcriptions effective. Put simply, virtuously was made to serve art, not the other way around.

This symphony is legendary, like all of Beethoven's works... It has so strong expressions of fate, regret and hesitation and rage... Beethoven always made the most unique and out-of-nowhere and so unexpected compositions... Kassia, I loved your interpretation of this piece. It has all those expressions, which Beethoven had mixed in this legendary piece. One of my favourite videos from your channel! (Probably the most favourite) These moments sounded so pure: 2:35 - 2:55 (the accent on the notes, and repetition of the chord) 3:02 - 3:06 (that E- flat was so beautiful) 5:17 - 5:37 (same as my first favourite section)

Toda la razón,como me gustaría tocar el piano. Me gusta toda la música,pero me quedo con la clásica. Jamás habrá el talento de Beethoven o Mozart.Dios que genios.

Liszt is known for his ability to transcribing other composer's works to piano version while maintaining the same volume and intensity as the orchestra itself. It was shocking that you could play this!!! Keep it up. 😊🙏

Ah yes, that Symphony is pretty nice, glad to see your interpretation of this piece :) Those fast octave must have been a nightmare to play, wasn't it ? Haha Also, never talked about it before but i really like your visuals, you do a great job with those ! Keep up the great work !
