Chopins ability to express human feelings in his compositions is absolutely phenomenal. It describes humans feelings that words cant... His music tells a story that everyone can understand but no one can express it. I think thats the beauty in Chopins compositions. A true gift to the man kind.

I'm wondering if Chopin sounds so modern and familiar because other more modern composers base their music upon some of Chopin's music. As far a 08:38 goes, it sounds an awful lot like some of Debussy's music. Debussy was influenced an awful lot by Chopin. Both men were a part of the French influence of compositions.

Was unmotivated to learn music in youth, had no one responsible enough to train me or interested in classical enough to pass ot on to me, too busy as an adult to pursue music more directly right now. Then I just guessed "Chopin" and "probably has numbers in the title" I searched for Chopin on KZbin and clicked the first result, and was genuinely astonished when I found it straight away. So that day I walked home from work gazing at the fall colors to the tune of Nocturne op. 9 no. 2 feeling a little more cultured than I maybe have much right to be.

I am stunned into quiet regretful joy. Joy because I now have hope. Regretful because I never had piano lessons that would have educated my clumsy hands. Quiet because listening to Chopin makes my soul ache with some untold empathy. Watching your hands was a revelation. You make it seem effortless, but the effort has preceeded the performance. For 20 years I've been so frustrated that I can play in my head the likes of Beethoven to Liszt but when I buy the sheet music my hands cry with hurt after punching something hard because I can't play the damn thing. I've been starting on the wrong hand configuration for everything I've ever tried to play. So I've had my first piano lesson at the age of 50+. It's never too late. But I don't think I'll ever finish the Rach3 I bought after watching Shine :-)

@@thelittlegamer6209 I'm very sorry for Chopin. He died so early at the age of 39. The world needs more humans like them.
