Thank you for your lessons! I´m currently working on this sonata, so I´m really interested in your teachings. (By the way, I never listen to recordings of the music I´m studying: obviously, I´ve heard it hundreds of times, but I try to forget the different versions and try to make my own). I have one question: in the last bar of the slow section, before the development, there is a crescendo (starting in p) before the last B7 chord, which is marked as pp (at least, that´s what the edition I´m using says). It´s very difficult for me to do that: because of the long sustain of the previous low B on the left hand, when I play the B7 chord it´s almost not audible, so I play this cresc. only on the right hand. I´m not really convinced with the result, and tend to play it as a dim. for the whole bar. I wish it was my biggest problem with the sonata XD.

It’s a decrescendo. Try to play it with very flat finger and slow touch!

@@ShijunWangPianoChannel Thanks for your reply! I´ve been using what I think is a Spanish version of Peter´s edition, and it says "cresc.". But I´ve just checked EBM Urtext and it´s a "decresc.". So my life is easier now!

Great pacing and very informative! What speed do you think to be acceptable in the fast section? 130 bpm for cut time?

I think that’s a good tempo. I have heard Zimmerman playing this live with a slower tempo, and I was totally convinced... so, tempo isn’t the deciding factor

@@ShijunWangPianoChannel Perfect! It is hard to play this piece due to the length of the piece. There are a lot of fast sections.
