I completely agree with you on the "side quest" characters. They weren't terrible but they served no real purpose in the movie and they could have trimmed up the fat a bit with that. I still had a lot of fun watching this and it served as a nice movie to kick off spooky season 👻 Cool review, Marty!

Too many subplots without a main story holding everything together is the main problem i had with the film, Marty. Let's hope Jenna Ortega doesn't get typecast in playing these 'moody' teenage girls.

Me and one of my friends saw BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE at the cinema in Myyrmäki, Vantaa (Finland 🇫🇮) on Friday 6.9.2024 (premiere). It was actually fun to watch 😹😺👍. Winona Ryder 😻❤️🌹 is definitely more beautiful 😻💞💕 then ever before 😸😺👍.

Nice concise review Marty! I'd have to say I was disappointed in this sequel, just my opinion. Some of the comments below and your analysis were able to express and put into words how I felt about it better than I could. Way too many characters, subplots and jumping from different character scenes often. This made the film drag. I still love the original better as it had what seemed like a smaller number of characters, a tight and simpler story to follow.
