Nice concise review Marty! I'd have to say I was disappointed in this sequel, just my opinion. Some of the comments below and your analysis were able to express and put into words how I felt about it better than I could. Way too many characters, subplots and jumping from different character scenes often. This made the film drag. I still love the original better as it had what seemed like a smaller number of characters, a tight and simpler story to follow.

I completely agree with you on the "side quest" characters. They weren't terrible but they served no real purpose in the movie and they could have trimmed up the fat a bit with that. I still had a lot of fun watching this and it served as a nice movie to kick off spooky season 👻 Cool review, Marty!

I left this on the shelf for a year after receiving it as a present. Watching gameplay and after a quick messaround I couldn't get on with it. I wanted another colonial marines or avp shoot em up as you said and got this boring hide and seek collecting scrap nonsense. But then I downloaded the dlc's and was hooked. Only played the game once all the way through but like you said it captured the feel and look of the original film perfectly. Collecting scrap and getting killed countless times by the alien grew tiresome, but sometimes was genuinely scared the shit out of. When he flanks or doubles back on you, or pulls you out of a locker😱😱😱😂😂😂 The working joes are just as creepy and I did conserve the bolt gun and never even knew how to fully use it to its full effect. Can't remember the black box message but do remember feeling sad😢 It is an emotional game and draining hence why ive only played it the once but is an amazing experience 👍😎

Wanted to go Saturday gone when ticket prices were 4 quid but couldn't. Have heard all the spoilers including the marilyn manson appearance at the end😂 You actually peaked my interest with the things they did right and maybe I was a bit harsh in my expectations before. I will either see it on the cheap or wait for it on disney+ Cinema audiences can ruin even good films so will only go if its quiet. I think the adult xeno's mouth looks too open at the side, needs to be more snarly and drippy. Do you think they made it less threatening to get the lower age rating? Maybe there will be a more 18 rating version in the future or alternate ending😂
