They used the same stop motion team who worked on the first movie. Monica Bellucci is playing Beetlejuice's wife! Willem Dafoe and Justin Theroux are also in this.

The original movie is one of my all-time favorites ever. I've been waiting for a sequel since I was a teenager, so I have cautious optimism for this, as it can go wrong. Tim Burton stated that the sequel will mostly have practical effects and bringing back stop-motion animation to bring back that feeling of the original movie, even down to the cinematography looking like the original but set in present day. Burton and Michael Keaton have also stated that the movie is surprisingly emotional, which I am not ready for. Keaton even said that we might see a backstory for Beetlejuice. September 6th can't come soon enough!

When I saw this trailer in theaters yesterday people went crazy lol I was one of those Beetlejuice kids. I saw the original in theaters in 1988 at 5. I was into the cartoon, toys and even the comics. Then for many years there was nothing to do with Beetlejuice. It was a classic and got an occasional review on here but nothing special. The movie got reissued 30 times but nothing new to offer. I saw all those fake trailers but I gave up hope for a new movie. 30+ years is too long. Then it happened last night and that music is so wonderfully creepy it just touched me. THIS is what I've been wanting for 36 years now. And not just a new movie but NEW anything of Beetlejuice to boot.

I think Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is going to be similar to Top Gun: Maverick in key ways. Both beloved stories and characters. Both 30+ years between a first and second movie. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will make tons of money.

There have been some test screening viewers who claim the movie doesnt completely conclude leaving the door open for a 3rd. My guess is they probably already have a plan for#3. Id be surpised if the cast isnt already signed on for it because we all know this is going to do extremely well at the box office. It's an iconic well loved property, has a stacked cast of incredibly popular actors and has essentially an entire month with zero competition at theaters. Even if critics pan it people will watch it.
