Yes, we do all our filming in landscape now but unfortunately earlier footage (before we created a KZbin channel) was for family albums and we did not pay attention to this. That is all we have now so working with that and moving forward all videos will be in landscape mode. Thank you.

Some mould yes but most of the old plaster was removed which helped. A bit of bleach here and there where it was not too bad. It is now a well ventilated warm space so no further problems to date.

Yes definitely. You will notice that other videos were taken in landscape format but with some of our older footage this is not the case. I like to watch your journey, but please invest in a couple of Bluetooth clip on mics or something. And also to have equalized sound levels. When one of you is across the room from the camera, one must urn the sound up very loud to understand through the echo and resonance of the room, then you’ll have a scene like the floor sanding with music and the sudden change of sound from poor quality to good just blasts through the speakers. Then it goes back to poor quality low sound again when you are speaking across the room. Then an ad plays and it’s very loud again. It would be much more enjoyable if you had better and more consistent sound quality. I have sensitive hearing and don’t like the constant loud blaring sound after a having it turned up to hear the far away scenes. I haven’t been able to watch an entire video at once because of this. I might subscribe or come back more often when the sound gets better. Happy renovating!

Hello and thank you for the feedback. We realise this is not the best footage but unfortunately it is all we have from the 'early days'. We never planned to have a KZbin channel and this was simply taken for family albums. We thought to share it though for those who asked what the château looked like when we first arrived. The next video will potentially still have 'profile' format videos from old footage but we hope the audio will be better and will help to explain a bit about the improvements. The good news is that we have been taking footage in landscape format for the past 8 months, so moving forward it will be better.

Thank you Bridgette. We have come to realise that the volume can be different on different devices. If we speak slightly too soft, it might be fine on one but too soft on another. As you rightly stated, we do have only everyday devices to use (no professional equipment 😀 ) but we will take the feedback on board and continue to try and improve this issue as we would like for everyone to enjoy the channel.
