Beautiful fireplace screen! Very elegant table you bought also! You deffinatly have an eye for treasures. When I was furnishing my Manor house it did come with some lovely pieces but 44 rooms to furnish I too bought some damaged pieces at great prices and restored or repaired them at half the cost of purchasing undamaged pieces. The thrill of saving antique pieces and historic homes is in our hearts. Great job! Enjoyed.

Billy, it doesn't go in front of a fire. It was to block a cool breeze or keep the warmth in for around a lady setting by the fire. Use it in a room that guest would be occupying.

Billy with filling the damage in the floors..i seen people use the sanding's that's removed from the floors mixed with glue and spread in the holes and sanded off the wood sanding's will match the floor color...hope that makes sense...

Table with guilt, is Black Lacquered in the Oriental French Style of the 19th Century often use in a Far East Room, Chippendale also made a version in the English Style!!! Sometimes also referred to as Chinese Import!!! Distinctly the country of origin with influences of Asia! The Bedroom or Bed Chamber Screen often use in the Dressing Solon off Bed Room, was a Modesty Screen, used in rooms where you could entertain very very close friends and family while usually changing your over dress or gown. you 3-6 layers of under ware were done in the bed room/chamber with your servant. Outer cloths could be altered with a quick change behind a screen with a servants help, layers like the over dress or men's jacket or the outer most layer the Surcoats!!!!!

hey! I've been following you for a while and wanted to give you these tips. I would like to come and paint the room with the large bed, the library cupboard may be the silver cupboard in the old kitchen. and michel. Now that you have had to use panels, it might be nice to paint them with board paint. There is a beautiful dark green in Brico. and edge line in the color of the door. Then you can always write on the walls with chalk. and thx for the lovely time and dream time kristine, la petite belge

It is a fireplace screen but most likely to place on the outer side of the sitter to keep the warmth closer to the sitter. Before dispersing the heat through out the room. A very good find. 💗

That adhesive remover did a fantastic job. Could have used that 30 years ago when we tried to remove adhesive off our could have been beautiful oak floors in our old cottage kitchen. Gave up in vain and had to put down new flooring. Love your purchases at the antiques fair, you have a good eye Billy. 🧐
