Very good points. Definitely not a beginners fish. Very mild natured and one of the few monster size cichlids that loves to stay as group of 7-12 together. And you are right, although slow growers but they just need a bigggg tank to do them justice. Speaking from my experience.. Just do a frontosa only tank and you won't regret.

Separate them. After 3-4 days just feed them 1 tiny bit of the boiled egg yolk... Main thing is regular water change for growth and survival.
