Hey Kev, great video as usual! Question do you pump straight tap water to your tank? Or do you get it to temp first the pump it to your tank?. I have been sending water to a separate container getting it to temp then add all of my chems and minerals let it mix and aerate with a pump then send it to my tank. When I upgrade to a 200+ tank I won't be able to do this as easily. Your thoughts and suggestions. Thanks man your a great addition to this space!
@KaveManAquatics3 жыл бұрын
So I fill up a 55G tote in my tub and set the hot and cold to the temp I need, then my pump sends the warm water to the tank. Keep in mind that your temp doesnt have to be exact. 3-5 degrees off is ok but of course this depends on how hardy your fish are. Heres a video of how I refill my tank - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4WXpZKGmb12h9k

I have an adult size Insignus Hap about 6 to 7 inches. He is tank mates with a bunch of other peacocks and haps. So it's been around 2 months now and he does not want to eat anything. Besides him all my other fish eat perfectly fine. Is there anything that I can do to have him eat? I feed them Omega one pellets and bug bites from time to time. I've been testing my water and doing water changes at least once a week and everything seems to be good. I'd really appreciate any feedback you may have on this lil issue. Don't want my big boy to die sooner or later. Happy fish keeping to you and all my friends!!!!!!

All depends on what cichlids, if it's only shell dwellers then a 10g would be fine, if it's Emperor cichlids then an indoor pond would be fine!

Honestly, Im not sure...I've never vented them. But I would recommend to try and get males.

😂 just bought my first frontosa I hope to take a long time to grow! I don't want very large fish in my tank! When they grow I sell them!

Hi Kaveman, I want to pick you brain. I've had African Cichlids for about a year now. A few deaths here and there early on (I'm still a beginner) but for a while it was good now I'm getting the one of death here and there the past 3 months like some dying every 2 weeks) My water parameters are good, I have good filters (Fluval 407) and most of the recommendations form you (wave maker etc). I can't figure out why some would die. I have a 200 Litre tank (43 gallons) I noticed fish days before i know they will die is that they're often slow. hang back from the rest when they swim up to the tanks. it like they're very low on energy. What could be the problem?

Sounds like you have a killer on the loose in your tank...

How much lake salt do you add
@KaveManAquatics3 жыл бұрын
I add 4.25 table spoons...that doesnt mean anything to you. Dose based on your tank and your water change

I've bought a group of frontosa from a local fish store, but they haven't eat anything from the day i kept in my aquarium. One week has already passed. Please help

Try some live black worms or frozen brine shrimp to get their appetite going. If that doesn’t work, they may have internal parasites. If so watch this - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mITTc4iig5JroKs

I think 2 are male, 1 possible female. Too small to vent yet. I’m keeping an eye on that one!
