Seeing old arty would be pretty interesting too. There was that American Tier 2 which could go into TD mode due to good armor, and SU-26 was an infamous seal-clubber. A pretty stark contrast to what we have now. I think there are old QB videos of T18 already.

I would loooove to see old elc amx….I used to absolutely adore that tank and it broke my heart when they nerfed it years ago. Also, it would be a great idea to simply showcase old world of tanks maps that are no longer in the game. Maybe it would be interesting for newer players to see for example komarin, hidden village or northwest which used to be my favorite map :)

You know what I think WG should have done? Remove the ELC AMX from the French light tank line and instead included as the tier 6 or 7 in a new line of microscopic, HEAT flinging French tank destroyers. Cause that's what this thing was really intended to be in real life, a tank destroyer. This was like a whole thing the French were doing in the 50's, experimenting with these tiny tank destroyers for taking out masses of Soviet armour. The ELC EVEN 90 is also part of this development program, and could easily become a tier 8 premium tank destroyer if they made HEAT its standard round along with buffing the damage to 320 and increasing its gun stats. But the really fun one would be the tier 10, the ELC EVEN 120. The ELC EVEN 120 was a vehicle that made the ELC AMX look massive by comparison and carried 4 120mm recoilless rifles. Just imagine it for a second, this microscopic and highly mobile little tank destroyer that could shoot you down like an autoreloader with x4 400 damage HEAT rounds unloaded over time. Or it could just unload all 4 of its guns at once and blast you with 1600 damage. Now the vehicle would be balanced in having quite low DPM for a tank destroyer, probably taking 11-12 seconds to reload each shell. It would also have cripplingly low health of around 1100 or 1200. It would also have terrible shell velocity travelling around 600 meters per second. So yeah, that's my idea for what WG should do with these tiny tanks.

I honestly want them to release the old removed maps, even if temporarily in their own game mode or event. Just do what's needed to get them to run in the current engine, but don't try to change the topography. I just want to re-experience the original Magic Forest on the old Murovanka map, or suicide charging across the bridge on Port to kill the arty and disrupt the enemy's advance. Maybe instead of showcasing just old tanks, you can also show replays featuring those maps that have been significantly changed or removed entirely from the game as it is now

If I was in a speedy tank, I'd always rush down there immediately. Half the time the team pushed down and supported, other times they set up camp, made s'mores, and sang kumbaya. Ah the memories.

150 pen on the 105mm gold heat round was outrageous back in the day. You had platoons of Shermans farming as much as damage at tier5 as tier 10 heavy tanks. Everyone had a 105mm mounted between tier 3-6 slinging gold and the Hetzer was considered to be one of the most dangerous TDs in the game. Hetzer gonna Hetz.

Yeah, I remember a playing session from back then. Shortly before the derp nerf to 104 pen, we wanted to play our Shermans one last time. We played 3 man platoon Shermans. 30 games, 29 of them won. The only loss was against an enemy mirror platoon of Shermans who outplayed us because we were reckless after the 24th (or so) win in a row ^^ Just this firepower times 3. Thats like 1050 alpha damage every 6 seconds. Can only be described as disgusting.

@@saltatio1545 look at the MM though... you had T5 tanks in a TIER X match. You wouldn't have a chance to get any exp and creds otherwise. As the tier spread got smaller, the guns got nerfed (too much for some tanks IMO). Physics in the game were a lot different then as well. The update rate for spotting tanks at a distance was slower (why the T-50-2 was better then) making small fast tanks like the ELC a LOT harder to hit. It really was a different game then.

@@1slotmech That is true. But the Shermans were matched against T8 maximum. Only lights would be T5 vs T10. And even something like an IS-3 is no match for a platoon which does 1050 damage every 6s. If they know how to play that is, and we did back then ^^ And the Shermans could be toptier vs. T3, T4, which was the really disgusting thing... And I would say that the "slowness" you described worked in favour of such tactics. It would take a lot longer to react to small nimble tanks flanking you. Sometimes you have reloaded a 6s shot before the heavy could turn around. That is unthinkable now. Just look how QB could drive between the T10s in the town. That is not even remotely possible today.

@@saltatio1545I don't know about you, but I was in the game back then. Light tanks could be matched as a medium one or two tiers higher, if I remember correctly. So you could indeed find, say your Luchs, in a tier 8 match. If you were going to drive a light, you needed the firepower to be useful in the game. And yes, you could circle strafe mediums two tiers higher at that time, easily if no one else was shooting at you while you were doing it. But you are toast if anyone hit you, especially Artie. New players weren't any better than they are now

Probably an entire chunk of players that don’t remember how insane the original tier 10 TD’s were. Especially the WT which I believe is still the only tank that was removed because it was too broken to fix. Or the KV-1S, T18, ELC, etc.

The SU-122-54 was also removed from the game, although that wasn't necessarily because it was overpowered. When they revamped the secondary USSR TD line, the Obj. 263 was changed from T10 to T9 and the Obj. 268 v4 was added in at T10.

@@AliceC993 SU-122-54 wasn’t overpowered at all, quite the opposite. It had the same gun as the IS-4 with a faster RoF which was really nice at tier 9, but had a narrow gun arc and no gun depression nor armor. It was kind of like the kjpz with the 105 in my opinion.

Per the second game; I used to love my VK3601H as a tier 6 medium. I was crushed when it was converted to a tier 5 heavy. Per the first game; when the 1390 debuted as a tier 8, it was devastating, at tier 9, not so much.

TBH i feel that the 13-90 is much better now.. waaay better aim time and 4 round clip is just more flexible than the 6 round. And as a tier 8 it got matched up as if it was a tier 9 anyway.

13-90 debuted as a tier 7 tank, and was later moved to tier 8 when the medium tank branches got tier 10 tanks. Used to be a really fun tank back then.

hey qb, i am 16 years old and i've been playing WOT with my dad basically since it came out. i remember i didn't have large enough hands to press WASD at once so i had to use both hands on the keyboard and my dad did the mouse. i have been playing on and of the game ever since i got my own account in 2016. i remember the old maps that are no longer in the game, and the t3 HMC. i remember me and my dad bombing around in that thing getting 5 and 6 kills. it was so much fun when the japanese heavies were added. we couldn't figure out how to pen them and i remember going on the grind to get the OI-exp. it was sooooo broken back then, going 40KP/H!!!!! please feature it for my child-nostalgia

I can barely remember how the game looked, but I do remember coming back to see the new graphics, having 3 arty, etc etc... KV-1S back in the day was just a T9 heavy with excellent good gun depression and 25% health, not to mention solid mobility. I must also say Quicky it's been a good 4-5 years since I've played WoT but I've been following your channel frequently since the Frenchies got introduced. I'm out of college now with a career and I was literally in middle school (7th grade) when I started playing WoT. Seeing old content like this is truly awesome and I wish the other games I played back in the day had a functioning match replay system. Cheers man. As the one of the older WoT players (since 2011.), I'd like to see as many old replays as possible QB!. MAKE IT HAPPEN!! I remeber one game where we even met on the battlefield where you were with your good old bud Ike in the tier X FV 4202s against me and my bud in Type 61s on Highway (we clashed on hills, you won ofc :D) I wanna see the old IS-4 as a tier IX, when it was stronger then some of the tier X heavies, the old Jagdtiger with impenetrable hull and upper front armour (there were no tier X TDs back in the day), before obj. 279e, there was VK 45.02 (P) aufs. B (you just couldn't pen it frontaly), Over Powered type 59 and T-54, the time when King Tiger was a beast (King), tier V KV with 152mm against tier IIIs... and so much more, man I remember everything! I wanna see the old school WoT!!

I remember well, hanging over the edge of the hill in Mines, before the vehicle physics were implemented. Remember the chaos on the test server when they first implemented physics, with everybody crawling all over the maps into places they'd never been before?

I remember loading up and predicting wins based on which teams had more KV-1's and KV-1S's. The 1S basically had the modern IS gun at tier 6, back at a time when every tank had probably 30% less health. It could reliably 2 shot everything equally tiered, with good pen, speed, armor, and flexibility

My personal favourite "before it was Nerfed" tank was the PzIV with the Panther turret. That 75mm gun had superb accuracy and made the PzIV the ultimate sniper. Also hit hard at its tier. The PzIV with the derp was fun too, but nowhere near being overpowered. Was it the US M2 that had a crazy derp on it? That was fun too.

Yes, old t50-2 games before physics became a thing would be absolutely amazing as that was my favorite tank back in the day! Crazy old arty games would be pretty fun as well! Love this series btw, please do more of these!

Oh yeah quickybaby, those were really the best days of WoT. The players were skilled thru playing alot, the tech tree tanks were awesome, the clan wars the best AND none of those premium tanks crap. I miss the early years of WoT(2013-2016)

From what I remember there were 2 types of light tanks: expensive T5 (VK, T-50-2, Chaffee) and "standard" T8 (I think French only, basically how would LTs work before t10 were introduced). Expensive were +3 tier (so like t8 medium with +2mm) and standard were +2 tier. VK was dmg dealer, chaffee was the best spot and T-50-2 was an ADHD machine with so high power to weight ratio that with first gen physics you could turn at 72km/h with 10-15m radius without losing any speed. There were a lot of unbalanced tanks, every tier except t1 had its Ebola. T18, S35 or FCM, Hetzer, t5 LT or 105mm or KV, KV1S, T29, AMX50100, T-54 with gold, Foch 155.

KV-1S was 'national team' back in the day, especially for clan war. I remember someone was playing ELC AMX in a tier X match, that guy scored 10 kill in that match. Clan can manipulate a lot of resources mine with sub-clan, everyone in my old clan was so wealth of gold income back in the day, most of them was F2P. So many sweet memories, please upload more 😊

Tanks that I'd love to see from 2013: 1. KV-1S 2. ELC AMX 3. Super Pershing (Pre Nerf); would also be great to see the great days of tech tree tier 8 MM 4. WT E-100 Also a few matches on the good maps that WG removed (Swamp, Komarin, South Coast etc)

Me and my two buddies would platoon and get into the old T18’s when they were essentially the tier 3 tortoise. Man I loved that tank. Now it’s an spg or something
